Tldr: Fishbowl has a great premise and story. As a person currently working through the death of a significant other the depiction of the ups and downs of grief and the long healing process, building yourself up and your life up. The constant questions of what Alo could've done to help, her constant guilt, and the inability to truly focus on herself and her needs after her grandmother dies is so touching and made me feel so seen. The vehicle of Alos life growing more complex around her greif and starting to grow into herself more as the game reaches the last chapter was really sweet. I think a big problem is that what makes this game good could also make it incredibly frustrating. The day by day nature of the game, repeating the same tasks every day did start to drive me a little crazy and I ended up only playing an in game week a day. Additionally the stamp and coin collectibles feel a bit random. 6/10 I recommend getting it on sale!
I haven't finished yet & I'm not the biggest fan of visual novel games, but this one stuck out for me The game loop is very satisfying, as is the setting and characters. You easily become attached to them all To balance all these topics of grief, isolation, the feeling of not being "good" enough, whilst navigating your way though to find balance & care for yourself (Alo), is very well done It has made me laugh and cry, sometimes at the same time It's beautiful
A lovely story game about grief, kind people, and running away from yourself. As a poet, I deeply appreciated the poetry aspects of the gameplay and story as well. I always appreciate seeing an accessibility consultant credited, but I do wish that the option to turn off the screen glitching and shaking also turned off the text's occasional glitching and shaking.
Thoughtful and warm. A very moving game.
Cozy & heartfelt <3

Lovely game. Great and very relatable dialogue, cozy gameplay, not so easy on the feels, great asthetics and sound design.

Piękna i wzruszająca historia przedstawiona w powolnej grze pełnej drobnych interakcji. To było dobre doświadczenie.
A very cute game made by very few people. I didn't expect much and at the beginning it's a little repetitive, but it grew up in me. Maybe a little too much, because this one could be my goty for the year just for the story. The story is delicate and deeply authentic, striking a very realistic chord; the issues that emerge define the characters and it's so so so integral to them. They made me remember to my childood friends because they are very plausible, expecially during that time where the game is placed.
