Just started it, already blown away by the quality. How is this game $7??? That's insanely cheap for a game with this much content (check the store page it has quite a bit). Played for about half an hour and ran into no bugs. Overall the game is very solid and WELL worth the price. Also I ran the game at like 300 fps no frame gen its just that well optimized.

looks simple at first but surprisingly has many interesting things to do and quests! still very early and a bit buggy, but with more patches and updates this game has potential to be very fun!

This game was recommended to me because I've been playing a lot of chill kind of games. This game is pretty fun, the combat is interesting.. but I really like the fishing mechanic because I'm so over the bar of getting the fish. There's a couple of weird bugs but nothing that's annoying enough that I'd stop playing. Try it out!

I have been playing for a while now, and I'm truly surprised by this one! Even though it's still in Early Access (so the game may have some bugs), it already has such great potential! Unique Fishing Mechanics - I've played a couple of games with fishing mini-games, but I've never seen anything quite like this. It's original, incredibly charming, and very intuitive. Plus, the fish designs are so original and wonderfully silly! I love them all! The game is not only about exploring the water and fishing around! You can also explore the land. The game features sword combat with a great Zelda-like vibe. It's simple but very satisfying for a Hyrule fan. (And oh boy, do I adore spamming that dodge animation with sound!) The visuals are pretty charming! The art style is simple, yet absolutely beautiful. The stylized, low-poly aesthetic fits the cozy atmosphere perfectly!

"Fish & Hike" ist genau das, was ich mir von einem cosy Indie-Spiel wünsche – und ehrlich gesagt hat es mich ziemlich positiv überrascht. Das Spiel kombiniert entspanntes Erkunden mit Angeln als zentralem Gameplay-Element. Alles dreht sich darum, neue Fische zu entdecken, dein Equipment zu verbessern und dein Boot Stück für Stück auszubauen. Dieser Progress fühlt sich angenehm motivierend an, ohne jemals stressig zu werden. Dazu kommt eine ruhige, stimmige Musik und eine wirklich süß gemachte Story, die perfekt zur Atmosphäre passt. Wenn man gezielt nach einem gemütlichen Angelspiel im Indie-Stil sucht, macht man hier definitiv nichts falsch. Auch preislich geht das Ganze absolut in Ordnung für die Spielzeit und das gebotene Erlebnis. Allerdings gibt es auch ein paar Schwächen. Während meiner Spielzeit sind mir einige Bugs begegnet – zum Beispiel sind gelegentlich Items aus dem Inventar verschwunden. Das war zwar nicht gamebreaking, aber trotzdem nervig. Deutlich störender fand ich die deutschen Übersetzungen an manchen Stellen. In einem Fall war eine Questbeschreibung so missverständlich, dass ich ewig nach einem falschen Fisch gesucht habe und dadurch unnötig festhing. Was mich persönlich am meisten enttäuscht hat, war das Ende. Oder besser gesagt: das fehlende Ende. [spoiler]Es gab keine Credits, keine richtige Abschlussszene - nur eine etwas seltsame Situation mit den befreiten goldenen Fischen, bei der man im Grunde nur noch mit dem König interagieren konnte. Das hat sich leider ziemlich unfertig angefühlt.[/spoiler] Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass ich das Spiel im Early Access gespielt habe. Viele dieser Probleme könnten also inzwischen behoben sein oder noch verbessert werden. Trotzdem bleibt ein leicht unfertiger Eindruck im Gedächtnis. Unterm Strich ist "Fish & Hike" aber ein wirklich charmantes, entspanntes Spiel mit viel Herz – vor allem für Fans von cosy Games und Angel-Mechaniken. Mit ein paar Updates kann das hier definitiv ein richtig rundes Erlebnis werden.

It's a truly relaxing experience, where the world is charming and a joy to slowly wander through. The soundtrack is absolutely beautiful and lets you forget about the outside world's worries. Also there seems to be a lot of content as for early access, can't wait for the full release

J’ai passé un bon moment sur Fish & Hike. Le mélange exploration, pêche, quêtes et collecte fonctionne bien, et il y a énormément de contenu à découvrir. Tout n’est pas parfait cependant. La caméra fixe peut être contraignante par moments, surtout lors des déplacements en bateau où la maniabilité devient parfois un peu frustrante. J’ai également trouvé que le système de pêche manquait d’explications au début. Une présentation plus détaillée des mécaniques serait appréciable. Heureusement, une fois la prise en main acquise, la pêche devient vraiment agréable et satisfaisante. Autre petit point : le besoin de sieste du Docteur Shiberson revient un peu trop souvent à mon goût et casse parfois le rythme de l’aventure. Mais malgré ces défauts, le jeu offre une très belle quantité de contenu : 36 espèces de poissons à attraper réparties sur 8 lacs différents, de nombreuses quêtes données par les habitants, de la collecte de ressources, du crafting pour améliorer son équipement de pêche, ainsi que plein de secrets à découvrir. Bref, il y a largement de quoi passer de nombreuses heures dans cet univers sans avoir le temps de s’ennuyer. Une aventure relaxante et sympathique que je recommande.

Fajne zaskoczenie. Spodziewa się człowiek spokojnej gry o łowieniu rybek, a dość szybko okazuje się, że jest tu dużo więcej aktywności i questów niż mogłoby się wydawać. Gra zachęca do tego, żeby nie siedzieć cały czas w łódce i połazić po mapie. Zaskoczyły mnie też niektóre mechaniki, których się nie spodziewałem, jak chociażby system dnia i nocy wpływający na rozgrywkę. Grafika jak dla mnie na plusik, klimacik jest i oprawa dźwiękowa też dobrze się w to wpisuje(troszkę takie Animal Crossing, takie moje skojarzenie). Jak na indyczka, to naprawdę przyjemna gierka. Nie będę spoilerował, bo każdy może sam sprawdzić. Z mojej strony polecajka. Jedyne co mi przyszło do głowy podczas grania, to że fajnie by było kiedyś zobaczyć możliwość grania online ze znajomymi. Taki klimat aż się o to prosi. Ale to już tylko luźna myśl. Póki co mam niecałe 2h i bawię się bardzo dobrze. A i prawdopodobnie mojej żonce też przypadnie do gustu mimo, że nie nawet nigdy nie pomyślała żeby wziąć wędki do ręki ;)
