Firewatch left me with a feeling of loneliness that I’ve never quite been able to shake. It’s a game about escapism, told through a medium that people often turn to as an escape themselves, yet it challenges that very instinct. Rather than suggesting we can outrun our problems, it reminds us that avoidance only delays the inevitable. Our struggles dont define us, our response to them does. When you're searching for somewhere to hide you discover that no beautiful landscape or compelling mystery can replace the difficult conversations we need to have with ourselves. Firewatch reminds you that growth begins when we’re willing to face life honestly, even when it’s painful. That’s a lesson I’ll carry with me for a long time
