An epic dark fantasy where fates are decided by mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them. This is the tale of Clive Rosfield, a tragic warrior who swears revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that leaves naught but calamity in its wake.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
A plethora of powerful swordplay techniques and Eikonic abilities lie within Clive's remit—and it is up to you to decide which ones you wish to learn or upgrade. If you're having trouble choosing, upgrades can be unlocked automatically.
Story-focused mode is recommended for those players who are less comfortable with action games and wish to focus more on the game's story elements. In this mode, Clive will automatically evade some attacks, and epic Eikonic combos can be triggered with simple button presses. Action-focused mode, where Clive's every action is controlled by the player, is available for those who are confident in their skill—or want to test it.
- FINAL FANTASY XVI Base Game

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best AU #76, worst BR #100 · 5 markets collected
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 21.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 25.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
A Single-player Game Imitating an MMO
This game is so MMO coded that it is annoying. 80% of the side quests are unnecessary fetching, "go there kill this", talk with "x" person and then talk with "y" person etc. It is typical MMORPG quest format. It gets boring extremely fast. I have stopped doing side quests [other than the ones with a plus (+) sign next to them because they actually upgrade your character and give resources that are crucial for better progression] 10 hours into the game and I do not feel like I have missed anything. The side quests feel like a waste of time because what is going on in the main story is supposed to be so important that you have to complete it as soon as possible. So, you ask yourself "do I have time to do these stuff when there is clearly something that is bigger than anyone and any problem is happening in the main story?" My answer is "NO". There is an exciting story about medieval empires and kingdoms, intrigue and politics, clashes for land and resources in the background, but, as a nobleman and someone with special powers, you help peasants with problems that any of your followers could handle with their eyes closed. It sadly kills the immersion for me. Some people may argue with me on this take but it is spoiler territory.
Running Errands for Peasants Simulator
The game is like 65% snoozefest. The remaining 35% is hype moments and aura. Even the main quests are mostly boring until you get the to the end of the act dungeons and boss fights. Those are cool ASF. Still, the stuff you go through to get to those moments feel like a chore. LIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
there is a moment in the main story where you fight something as big as a mountain and 5 minutes after that fight you are picking provisions for a peasant. This is a main quest.
The final act of the game is actually good (and is better if you ignore side quests and rush the main quest IMO) but some cheesiness is going there and I do not know if it is everyone's cup of tea.
UNOPTIMIZED MESS
The biggest problem of the game is its optimization and it is why I do not recommend the game mostly. I have a pretty decent PC I believe, but the game goes between 100 FPS and 20 FPS (most of the game was close to 30 FPS. The times it was closed to 100 FPS were very short.) I even had to go through an entire dungeon and a boss fight in the late game between 15-20 FPS and died so many times because of this issue. It is so inconsistent that it kills the joy. Also, the game has a memory leak issue.

My first FF game in a long time (the last one was FFVI in gameboy advance lol). You have to play this game because the story is perfect. The fullfilment and emptiness after finishing the game is life changing. I really like the story that I bought both DLC without thinking twice. The DLCs are okay, they are worth it if you hunger for more Clive/Jill/Joshua content (wait for discount). Gameplay wise, it feels a lot like DMC. You only play as Clive with a whole arsenal of skills. It's fun tho to mix and match. However, I prefer to control the party. The chests in this game are horrible, get ready for a lot of dissapointment. Overall, play it! The ending is just perfection.
NOTA 7/10
Any game with Byron Rosfield is a good game.
