Game is amazing... But i also picked this up on switch 1 and they removed all things like speed up lowering random encounter rate. Now they are making a switch 2 version that has the features but no upgrade path. Fk you square. I brought this game 4 times already over the years you penny pinching scum bags
Very nostalgic. It would be much better to have the option to skip the dialog. I dont need to go over long conversation with Seymour.
This is singlehandedly the worst final fantasy port I have ever played. Both before and after applying the 4gb patch that seems to be required as a crutch for older FF titles to run properly, the game crashes at launch or white screens and doesn't respond for minutes at a time. I have had to fight every step of the way to have the game recognise my playstation controller and not force disconnect or outright crash the moment the dualsense is connected, and despite adjusting both the game and steam settings after looking through old reddit fixes, it still displays xbox inputs which is honestly ridiculous for a game that was a.) originally launched on the playstation in the first place, and b.) correct inputs are a requirement to correctly use and strengthen overdrives/limit breaks such as bushido - which is also on a time limit, so forget taking a sec to try and mentally translate the buttons if you aren't familiar with translating the xbox layout. I'm really disappointed by the issues this port has because when the game does work the story is genuinely great, the combat is fun, and despite all the minigames being designed by a sadist I would recommend X to anyone who likes FF, I just can't recommend it be experienced through this port. ( *For anyone looking for a bodged PS5 controller fix - disable the steam input and connect to DS4Windows. Under profiles, set the emulated controller to xbox 360 and run ffx. I tried emulating the dualshock 4 but the issues persisted and only xbox 360 stopped the game from crashing and disconnecting every five minutes. Good luck! )
Star player of the Zanarkand Abes!
Great.
ich liebe das spie, ist einfach meine kindheit
E MOLTO BELLO E A UNA STORIA MOLTO BELLA
If I do an actual review on this game like I did with ff15 then it'll probably be a whole essay. 10/10 (not including ffx2 since it keeps crashing on me so I won't be touching that anytime soon)
Melhor jogo já criado de todos os tempos.
The nostalgia was fun at first. However, having to go through the extremely long opening credits scene every time that I wanted to play (and every time that I died) just got to be too much. The option to skip would have made all of the difference.
