About
After two and a half years, Digital Crafter presents Fight of Steel! A whole new type of fighting game, a spiritual sequel to Fight of Animals.
Fight of Steel: Infinity Warrior
In the distant future, humans no longer exist. Now, robots rule the world. You wake up in a ruined site and have no memory of what happened to you, facing an unknown world and enemies; Fight your way through the Tower to find the truth.
Unlike traditional fighting games, Fight of Steel free characters from assigned move sets. Players can decide the basic moves by choosing "Combat Stance" and selecting the "Martial Art Chips" they like; you can even customize the appearance of the fighters to build your own.
Fight of Steel is a spiritual sequel to Fight of Animals in control and command designs. Simple designs for more players to enjoy the refreshing experience of fighting games; Special move inputs are designed as command normals, a directional input along with the appropriate attack button, and Supers are triggered with one button. Players won't be troubled with "circle motions" and can get a hang of fighting more quickly.
Based on simple input systems, Fight of Steel added "EX moves", enhanced special moves, to the game. And with the whole new OVERDRIVE feature further deepens the game for players to explore.
Yes, we use Rollback Net Code for our games. With the know-how, we acquired in developing Fight of Gods and Fight of Animals. We won't let you down this time! This time we added a rank system to online matches. We hope people who like PVP enjoy it.
Who says stories don't matter in fighting games? In Story Mode, you will play as a martial artist with his memory lost. Facing an unknown world and enemies, fight your way through the Tower to find the truth! You will unlock different endings with different winning conditions.
In Fight of Steel, we designed a Challenge Mode that focused on "Stat Composition" and "Part Collecting." In Challenge Mode, every part of a STEEL is with stat and property variations. Players will get different parts through combats. Build a STEEL according to your opponent's weakness and win all the prizes on the way!

fight of steel is pretty good but wish the AI in challenge mode aren't so aggressive.
This game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick, the amount of customizability in your playable characters is so awesome, and it's just a really fun game
TL;DR -- game good, Egg Dog based I got this game recently because this game was made by the same people who made Fight of Animals, and they added crossover skins from their previous titles, which means I am allowed to play as Egg Dog, and playing as Egg Dog is based. But when I actually delved into Fight of Steel, I was blown away by what I was actually playing. This game is the 2D fighting equivalent of Custom Robo, similar to how an old gem called Megabyte Punch is the Super Mario Bros and Super Smash Bros equivalent of Custom Robo. The customization is incredibly in-depth, giving you full control over appearance that doesn't affect gameplay balancing (body parts, alternate colors, and even different animation cycles for moving and crouching) and a wide selection of moves that can be mapped to a "special move button" which really do a lot to change up how you play your character and can help determine the perfect character for you. For example, you can map a gap-closing Punch move to Forward Special if you're a more aggressive player, or map a shock grenade Fireball/Projectile move to Back Special if you're more of a zoning player. Hell, you can even do both on the same moveset. Add to the fact that there are a ton of different save slots for movesets and outfits, you are basically creating the entire roster of the game to your liking as you keep playing, which is absolutely incredible. A quick word of advice, if you're more of a single player kind of person, jump straight into the Challenge Mode the moment you clear the Story Mode. The story of the game "did serve its purpose," but it's very short, doesn't have much depth outside of the romantic tension between two robots, and gives up on its own narrative when you just find out that "the McGuffin was a myth and the true McGuffin was the friends you made along the way" or something like that. It'll take you all of 20-30 minutes to beat the full story if you're even remotely decent at fighting games, so that "spoiler" won't affect your experience. HOWEVER the Challenge Mode does have some cutscenes spread out here and there, which actually pick up where the story left off, so you aren't completely left high and dry with a dead narrative after completing the story mode. Overall, this game is actually fantastic. Since there is a ton of depth in the customization, this game will be as simple or as complex as you want it to be, so I will wager that this game can hold the attention of casual players with no fighting experience as much as it can for the competitive fighters that have multiple titles under their belt. Get past a slight learning curve by fiddling around with the different menus, and you're golden.

this is fantastic and can't wait to see what else gets added
At the day of purchase (9/6/2022), there is not a whole lot of content but it definitely feels like a game worthy of some messing around with. With the default characters, it gives you a decent idea of the quality of the overall games and I was surprised at the polish this game has. Really looking forward to seeing how much content this game will receive in the future, and hoping for a workshop to share configurations.
