About
In Fields of Fortune, you decide how you want to play. Relaxed and hands-on, or step by step through automation.
Through quest lines with short dialogues directly in the game, you’ll learn about new tools, machines, and systems, without time pressure and without complicated tutorials.
Gently automated, if you want.
Fully relaxed, when you need it.
Automation is a core part of Fields of Fortune,
but it’s introduced gradually and in a playful way.
You start with simple processes and learn step by step:
Conveyor belts for automatic transport
Splitters for precise distribution
Machines to process your resources
Many systems are unlocked and explained through quests, directly in the game.
Your little harvest bot takes care of the work:
cuts down trees
plants new saplings
automatically transports logs onward
Via conveyor belts, the logs are delivered straight to the sawmill, where they are processed into lumber fully automatically.
Neat, sustainable, and surprisingly cute.
What starts small grows with you.
Combine conveyor belts, splitters, and machines into large, fully automated production chains that process multiple resources at once and keep your farm supplied long-term.
Plan your layouts, optimize routes, and watch an idea turn into a working system.
As you progress through the game, you unlock the Academy. Here you can gradually learn all four disciplines:
🐾 Animal Care
🌱 Plants
⚗️ Alchemy
🌿 Herbs
Each specialization unlocks new buildings, recipes, and possibilities.
Within each discipline, however, you make conscious talent choices, allowing you to shape your playstyle individually without missing out on content.
Sail to procedurally generated islands full of surprises. Discover new plants and herbs, encounter strange animals, and find hidden treasures.
Everything you collect can be brought back home. Who knows what the next island holds?
You start small, with a few tools and a big idea. You freely place fields and buildings, developing your land piece by piece, by hand or through automation. In town, you can trade, take on tasks, and earn rewards. Animals are also part of your farm. You take care of food, water, and enclosures, and collect what they provide.
Relaxed or optimized, you decide how you play.
🌾 Calm pixel world focused on farming, crafting & animal care
⚙️ Deep, guided automation with conveyor belts & machines
🧑🌾 Professions & specializations through the Academy
🏗️ Large production chains from small to complex
🏝️ Procedurally generated islands with new resources
✨ seasonal events
🕊️ No combat, no time pressure. Play at your own pace

I loved Fields of Fortune from the very beginning... and I’ve been completely hooked ever since. It just feels incredibly cozy. No stress, no pressure, just farming, tinkering a little, and building your own small world. Exactly what you need after a long day. And the graphics?? Absolutely beautiful. Really. The colors, the lighting, the little details – you can tell how much love went into it. And when the fireflies suddenly appeared at night, I had that little “wow” moment. Such a sweet, unexpected surprise. <3 For me, it’s already a total comfort game. <3 Huge praise to the developer for their very first game.
This game, it is a golden price raffle roulette fortune find!! I dropped Manor Lords, Farthest Frontier and Kingdoms Reborn for this game that has such a huge future for it. This is a must get, must play, keeps you busy. The demo was great, the tutorial you would see some stuff that are now in Early Release. Some things have changed from the Demo but I will not spoil those details :) This game in itself, it does have some delay issues in its pixes but lets face it, the last 8 years of pixel art games have been worse or the same and they improved over time, this one most definitely will as well. The gameplay, travel here travel there, some freebies here, some freebies there, the town folk with tons of quests, a quest board that resets, levelup progression system where per so many levels you unlock something. Questing helps you unlock more things as well. There is no end to it, with all the things we have, only a quarter of the island will be filled. (depending on how you of course plan your town, mine is already over half the island since i want to decorate) Shops to sell items, shops that help you with the questboard, crafting items that help you with the items to sell in case of low gold. AND THERE IS MOAR!!! I miss some of the keybinds but im sure this is in the future planning. When i asked for the mouse option to be changed due to some work/game related issues, the developer put it into the Early Release right away and even checked with me on that part, It can be quite time consuming but it is the good kind of time consuming, due to crafting all sorts of stuff you can multicraft, automate the crafts between buildings and never let it run out, automation is gorgeous in this game, though it does have its quirks the developer is already on it for the fixxes, leaving no details behind on what has been given to him on reports. The Dev, god oh god, hes awesome, truly one of a kind compared to all these indie developers who say that they pay attention to their crowds, compared to these bigger games that lie about standards, this developer is honest to the good of himself, to his crowd, to his community that is on the rise. If you report, hes on it, if you ask, hes there, sometimes a little later but hes there, he answers, notes, works on it, Straight to the point guy. A roadmap has been laid out already and some things are coming that arent even listed anywhere yet, though dont know when. This game is and will go forward for a very long time, it has so much space for extra's in my believe we are only seeing 10% of creation of what the developer truly has in mind. Keep up the good work !! I look forward to the fishing competitions personally!! People, if you want a great builder, this is it, get it, i guarantee the worth of it!
This is the best game in this genre that I have ever played – and it was made by just ONE single developer! That alone is incredibly impressive. Even though I’ve only played about 2 hours so far, I’m already genuinely excited about what this game offers. Great Quest System: The game introduces its mechanics in a very smooth and structured way. The quests give you clear, motivating goals and guide you step by step without feeling overwhelming or stressful. The early progression feels polished and very well thought out. Beautiful Pixel Art: The visuals are charming, clean, and full of personality. Everything looks cohesive and creates a relaxing atmosphere – exactly what I want from a Pixel Top-Up Farm Simulator. For a solo project, this is seriously impressive. If the first two hours are already this strong, I’m really looking forward to seeing how the game continues to develop. Highly recommended.
Reasonably priced solid start for a gathering game with automation. Currently a little low on content (14th Feb 2026), but I suspect that will change at a desirable pace. Fields of Fortune shows a solid foundation and the developer is friendly and very open to feedback. Music matches the theme of the game and there is enough ambient sounds for it to not feel empty. Mouse and Keyboard controls work as expected (QWERTY keyboard - others layouts not tested) The game has standard UI shortcuts, whole stacks of resources are moveable and single and half splits are possible. Buildings are returned when removed, so there are no barriers to reorganisation and improvement. Unfortunately, Key binding currently not changeable. Graphical options are minimal, although I am not sure what else I would add. Overall, I look forward to the future of the development of the game and would recommend following along if you are used to early access products.
Macht weiter so!
Fields of Fortune is a lot of fun right from the start. It has a great charm to it and feels polished without being overwhelming. It is easy to jump into, and it quickly makes you want to keep playing. I am really looking forward to spending more time with it!
Good Idea, but really early in development. Not sure how many hours I can spend in this as it is lacking motivation for the player to keep going...
