Fatemender Demo Version

Fatemender is a Tarot-themed card puzzle adventure of strategy and pathfinding. Craft a route through an ever-shifting maze brimming with existential peril. Cast spells to traverse and transform the Labyrinth. Collect and level up powerful Artifacts to defy the Fates and be the first to escape Purgatory.

First you build the maze, then you escape it. Place Paths strategically to guide the Weaver to the Exit. The Landscape is unveiled one tile at a time as you place Paths and move forward. You must always be ready for surprising reveals or unexpected foes.

The Paths you place aren’t set in stone. Deploy your arsenal of dozens of Spells to alter Paths, avoid dead ends, transform Tiles, shift rows and columns like a Rubik’s cube, or avoid traps and treachery. But every card you play pushes you one step closer to being forever lost—you only have until your deck runs out to escape the Labyrinth.

You won’t be alone on your journey. There will be dangers along the way: the whims and weapons of the Fates will try to stop you from reaching your destination. Before every stage, you must draw from the Tarot-style Deck of Fates to determine the challenges you will face. And the Fates won’t let you pass easily—they will do everything in their power to try to trap you in Purgatory forever.

Meet a cast of powerful spirits doomed to haunt the cursed plane of Purgatory. As you learn about them and how they became trapped, you’ll also learn about your own life and the decisions that shaped it. What led you to become trapped in the Labyrinth? What does it mean to escape? And what dark power rules over the afterlife, trapping countless souls within? This roguelike journey will have you retracing your steps as well as your history as your memories are slowly regained, and the truth about the world is revealed.
