About
Venture into a handcrafted world where ruins whisper of past cataclysms. Master the art of sword and sorcery and forge your path with relics, spells and choices that shape who you become in this first-person RPG.
While Fatekeeper follows a focused narrative path, the world invites exploration. From ancient battlegrounds, vast underground caverns and serene forests to crumbling sanctuaries forgotten by time, each area rewards curiosity with hidden lore, forgotten relics, and unexpected encounters.
Battle a wide variety of foes, each with distinct patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. Success demands both skill and preparation. Engage in reactive melee combat, unleash spells with precision, and adapt your tactics on the fly. Your build matters—but so does how you wield it.
Fatekeeper offers rich progression mechanics that go far beyond surface-level stats. Build and refine your character with meaningful choices across combat styles, attributes, and spell schools. Whether you lean into raw strength, nimble precision, or devastating sorcery, the game supports a wide range of viable and unique builds.
Discover, loot, and master a wide variety of weapons, armor, and artifacts. Customize your loadout to suit your playstyle, and experiment with powerful combinations to overcome increasingly challenging enemies. Every item matters—and the right gear can be the difference between victory and ruin.

insanely great graphics. extremely fun and intense combat like a mix of skyrim/avowed/soulslike/blade&sorcery. challenging fights with the two bosses currently there. for an early access game with about 3 hours of content currently is incredible. even if you dont want to get this game now keep it in your wishlist and keep a close eye. it runs perfectly on ultra graphics on my 2080 super graphics

Great really enjoying it keep up the updates !!!
pretty strong potential but right now it falls flat. Will have to come back to it in a few months. The world is absolutely gorgeous and the soundtrack is good. The skill tree is also quite large so there is quite a bit of flexibility in play style. My issue is the combat - a complete combat overhaul could turn this game from a 5/10 to a 7 or 8. The combat scenarios are pretty basic and follow a Doom-like progression style where you have a short run from room to room to kill a group of enemies before moving on to the next room. The melee enemies are weak, not threatening, and pretty much die in one heavy attack. The ranged enemies are the real danger but due to the room layouts (which I do like and are creative) its pretty easy to just stand in a corner and one shot the melees as they run at you. Combat also feels a little clunky in my opinion as the attacks are pretty choppy and the ragdoll physics are ridiculously strong which is kind of annoying and immersion breaking albeit quite funny when you send a dude flying across a room or off of a cliff. The magic is not as clunky but its also pretty basic. But even as a melee enthusiast in most games the magic is probably my favorite part of the combat system. Lastly the story elements are solid. The few loading screens are covered by a narrator which gives some fairly interesting and much needed story and background. The dialogue between the main character and his companion on the other hand felt... off I guess. Some weird hand gestures and some awkward line deliveries from the main character created a little bit of a disconnect between character and voice actor for me. The rats dialogue was much better.
I haven't played it much and I plan to come back to it eventually when there's more content. But what is here is incredibly good. The game looks amazing and runs really well. The combat is solid and feels very balanced with just enough learning curve to feel good about yourself. My only complaints is one of preference. I prefer open world rpgs and sadly this game isn't that. But for $10 it's pretty fun.
What a game! and Early access too, which means it should only get better. Please add a bit more immersion like weapon collision with environment and more sound when bodies hit the floor! That would instantly make it a lot better!
Dark Messiah of Fate & Keeping
