I was asked to do an honest review of the game
I will say right away that this is not my genre and I have not really played such games, I played Stardew Valley once, that's all
Graphics. It is not very good, but I can't call it bad in my opinion.
Music and sounds. The music is very pleasant, the sounds are slightly lacking, I think this is normal for early access
Leveling system. There are two types of leveling - magic and skills, there are only 6 skills (and as far as I understand, they can be upgrade only up to level 10), but they look good, they will help both in battles and in farming
Magic - I was able to unlock the fireball and the second spell opposite it, also as far as I understand, between them there is something like an passive (increased damage, faster mana recovery, etc.), in general, it is interesting that I can talk about that the game has something like hits between magic, if your magic collides with the enemy's, then there is a chance to break the enemy's, but when I reached the boss, his magic had already broken mine, which is why it was very difficult to defeat him (it never broke his magic even once). I want to mention that there is also upgrade of the spell itself, but more on that later. I will probably play again later and try to describe the magic in more detail, for now this is it.
Skills - Intelligence (Increases experience gained by 10%), Damage (Increases damage by 5%), Luck (Increases the chance of critical damage and getting additional plants by 5%), Trade (Decreases the price at merchants by 3%), Defense (Increases defense by 2, whatever that means) and Dexterity (Increases the chance to avoid damage by 2% and speed by 1.5%)
I was able to upgrade damage by 2 and apparently due to the fact that before that in magic I discovered the ability for +10% damage, I had +20% damage, in battle I really saw that there are 20%
I think fans of grinding will really like this system, connect skills upgrade with farming as for me is a good idea, although as far as I remember, in Stardew Valley there was something similar, only what you did was level up (farming, fishing, etc.), I liked the system in this game more, but everyone depends on your preferences.
Arena. An interesting system where you have to kill all enemies to get rewards, when you die you don't get anything, moreover, when you die you lose 10% of your money (I guess that this applies not only to the arena). The main goal is to get dust, and maybe something else, i got mostly wood and stones, I got dust once, I realized that you can get it when I first talked to the character who lets you in to the arena, I remember that the character said something about it, I tried to figure out how to use it for 5 minutes, as a result I was able to upgrade a fireball for damage in the building at Alphonse. I liked this system of upgrading a separate spell, although I didn't manage to get dust very fast, if the character hadn't told me about it, I would have thought that all that is here is trees, i got dust in like 5th time, which I planned to play for the last time. It is also worth mentioning that it is huge, the textures are quite large, a little unpleasant for the eye, and one time I got stuck in an object at spawn :(
Tower. I was able to get through it to level 5 where I was killed by the boss I mentioned above. Fun and boring at the same time, because the enemies sometimes do not attack and stop, apparently the attack distance is closer than the place where they stop. Good farming of experience and money, the combat itself is also interesting, however, mana recovery is very long sometimes and you have to regenerate it, most likely this problem will not be with the upgrading of mana recovery, I would like to defeat the boss, but this will definitely not be today. Perhaps some adjustments are needed in the balance, but for early access it is quite normal
House. The price of the furniture seller are large, I was not able to buy all the furniture, but it is quite nice, the flowers look beautiful, the tower gives good amount of money, I think if you will upgrade the trader skill and go through the tower and at the same time plant plants (?) then you can safely buy furniture, you can also craft, but I still liked the furniture from the seller more
Quests. I didn't notice anything special, you do daily and story quests, if you suddenly don't understand what to do next from the story quests, most likely you just need to wait, on the 5th day some NPC came to me and gave me a letter, and then I did everything according to the quests, by the way, magic will open after completing one of them, so far I finished by opening the tower, maybe there are some more story quests
The developer told me that I was one of the only people who read everything carefully, many did not even know how to plant plants... I think you should not skip the initial tutorial and read everything carefully so that you do not have problems
The game as such has great potential and it already has something to do for early access, although not much of everything, it is far from stardew valley if you like the atmosphere and farming, but if you like grinding and magic, this game seems to me a more interesting choice, the price for the game is VERY low compared to what comes out these days, the game has really good potential, just give it a chance.
