5/10 Simple but decent enough hybrid city builder/puzzle game. So why the negative? The campaign is both short and to be blunt, some of the most cringe BS I have ever read!
Objectively a good game. I cannot recommend it due to the terraforming cards being useless. Maybe its my luck, but I can't seem to even get objective necessary ones. The game is very cute, but it brings me little joy.
For what it is its extremly good. Everything makes sense and it is fun to play.
Incredibly fun and challenging game in you like turn based strategy. Weighing the benefits and consequences of each action makes each turn meaningful and not boring. Very much enjoying this game.
fun game very nice
The game is amazing. I would love to see Farlanders 2 or any DLC to extend it to be released in the future.
上手難度偏難並且還有極大運氣成分在 整體而言就是拼圖試玩法還蠻好玩的 劇情如果是動畫的話就更好了
Great game. It's challenging and really fun. I also like the art style a lot and can't really think of anything negative to say.
I was enjoying the game until I hit a show-stopping bug in the 4th mission, where the game refused to recognize that I was connected via power lines. Since I couldn't work around that bug and I'm not replaying the scenario, I've given up. But I enjoyed it while it lasted. Farlanders isn't really a city builder. That's not the case. It's a puzzle game but don't let that necessarily stop you. You have to balance water, power, food - like in every city builder - but the real innovation is the constant random terraforming that not only do you get but you really have to execute. You'll need to knock down mountains, clear rubble and constantly improve your territory as you expand for much-needed resources. Some resources, like mines, will exhaust themselves over time and force you to break out of your little stable environment to seek new ones. Others will rapidly be consumed by simple expansion. You can play it with a turn limit on and off. The developer recommends that you keep it on. I'm going to strongly recommend that you turn it off. The somewhat random nature of the terraforming choices that you get can utterly screw you over, even in simpler scenarios. You may have a map where you need to get to a particular resource to win and if you don't get the right draw, you may not be able to get to it. For instance, in one mission (the one that ultimately bugged) I needed an advanced mining resource. It was behind a canyon. For 4 straight draws I didn't get a card that fit that allowed me to fill the canyon. In a timed game, that would have been a loss. So because of the random nature of the terraforming, I think turns are a mistake. As I said, it's a cute game. I ran into a problem I couldn't fix but I think maybe I just couldn't see it on screen. Someone in the comments pointed out the problem and I've edited my review. I won't go back to finsih the game but it is a decent little title, especially for the sale price.
