So I have never left a review in my life but this game genuinely compelled me to. Before anything else, don't be turned off by the "With Friends" part of the title. This game is great even if you don't have friends or just want to play solo! It seems like a simple dice game at first but it actually gets really thoughtful and strategic with the turns! ESPECIALLY when you start playing with your friends and other people! You can start mind gaming them haha! It's fantastic right out of the box and I really look forward to any and all updates to come!! Plus for the price, you really have nothing to lose! Go ahead and pick it up! Maybe even get a copy for the homies! I know I did!! At the very least it's worth a couple hours of fun, at the very most, you will NEVER! STOP! PLAYING! The gameplay gets so addictive and you keep trying to beat your own highscore in single player or just dumpstering your friends in multiplayer! A great way to settle arguments as well, like who should do the dishes, haha!!
Farkle is exactly as described: "Easy to learn, tough to master" and shockingly addictive! I have experienced the wildly satisfying highs of a perfect roll, along with the crushing lows of being Farkle'd out just as I start to pick up momentum! The game has developed so much since I started playing it, huge props to the dev and I can't wait to see what changes come next!
What may seem like a simple dice rolling simulator is actually one of the most fun and rewarding games I've ever played. Initially I was overwhelmed by a classic game I had never played before, but the developer has made it incredibly easy to learn. Each map has a lot of love in all of it's little details, and unlocking new dice is exciting and encourages me to keep going. Can't wait to see more! Highly recommended!
I love farkle, and outside of the minigame in Kingdom Come Deliverance, I haven't seen just a plain old farkle game so when I found this I was pleasantly surprised. The game is great, it's simple to grasp, and it's got nice relaxing music to just chill out and play a few rounds. If you don't have any friends to play with, no worries you can play solo games and still unlock new dice designs, which is great. I do have some feedback which can hopefully be addressed in a future update.
Feedback

When using a controller it would be great if the UI at the bottom would also reflect which dice you are currently cycling between
When using a controller cycling through the die selection goes in the order shown at the bottom of the screen, however when you select a dice it seems to reset or change the order in which the dice are selected.
The dice sometimes don't roll when dropped and instead just fall straight down without rolling or spinning. This happens especially when you have fewer dice being rolled as they are less likely to collide with each other. Maybe if they spawned with the edge facing down or maybe with a bit of a spin so they roll when they hit the table
Most of my complaints are controller centric as I was attempting to play it on the Steam Deck and it works fine for the most part just a few minor quality of life things could make it a smoother more polished experience. That being said I have really enjoyed playing this on my PC with the mouse and look forward to playing more. Cheers.
ADDICTING! Once I started playing I haven't been able to stop! It's the perfect game to hop on play a couple hands and then go about your day. Really fun concept and LOTS of dice to unlock!!
I love Farkle. The bones in this game are there, but here is some feedback: -Add the ability to remove the Farkle limits and Farkle point penalties in multiplayer. Currently it is -1000 points for a Farkle and it's three Farkle's and you are out. If playing with multiple people, if one player Farkle's 3 times, they are stuck twiddling their thumbs while everyone else plays. The tabletop game doesn't have these in the rules. -Allow continuation/opportunity play. In the tabletop game, if someone scores with dice left over, the next player can roll the left over dice to see if they can score additional points on top of what the previous player scored. If player 1 scores 1,500 points and has 2 dice left over, the next player up can choose to roll those 2 dice instead of all 6 as their turn. If they can score on the two dice roll, they can add those points to the 1,500 to get a higher score. If they score on both dice, they can continue playing like normal and roll 6 dice. -Keep the doubles rule. This is fun for people playing the game casually, especially younger folk. I may implement this with my gaming group and see if they are into it or not.
Love farkle, and this is farkle. Music is good, can be played solo and with friends. I only have one thing I want fixed/implemented: The ability to shake up the dice better. Now, sometimes the dice is just lifted and dropped in place. Has gotten me into a few farkles already. Please fix? Otherwise it's great
Great game but, we need to be able to alter the game rules. If the game is over after 3 farkles, whats even the point of the points we've built up?
I never learned how to Farkle growing up. Because of that, I got bullied a lot in school and even in the workplace. “Farkless,” they used to call me. The shame haunted me - every game night, every office party, every awkward first date where someone casually asked, “Wanna Farkle?” I knew I was in for a world of hurt. Everything changed when I downloaded Farkle with Friends. Suddenly, I had purpose. I had strategy. I had dice. The first time I yelled Farkle! into the void of my living room, I think my ancestors heard it. My confidence skyrocketed. I walked into the office and someone whispered, “There goes the Farkle King.” I didn't even HAVE friends to farkle with before I got this game and look at me now! If you, too, have known the sting of being Farkle-deficient… fear not. Buy this game and get all Farkled up in no time! Play it. Live it. Farkle it. 11/10 would Farkle my friends again.
I have played Farkle in real life, know the rules from the top of my head. The rules aren't the original rules, neither are they consistent. I have gotten Farkle when what was shown and selected was correct according to the rules of the game, and shown within the scoring system that it was indeed correct. Because of that, I have refunded it, and would recommend getting Tabletop Simulator instead and download Farkle from the workshop.
