I really don't want to thumb down this game, frankly, it's one of the better indie products of its genre with a very unique feel, but I just can't recommend it before its major technical issue gets fixed - the frequent crashes that corrupt your save file and consequently make you redo everything you've already done. As you can see, I have five hours playtime on record, however, about four of them were spent doing the same thing, over and over again, since I had to restart the game every time it crashed. The actual content of the game requires roughly one and a half hour to be fully experienced. With that said, this is a short game, which I have no problem with considering it was developed by a small team and it's reasonably priced, but the regular crashing and the buggy saving mechanism just made the whole experience excessively tedious and completely ruined my positive first impression of it. If you're really into atmospheric "walking-sims", I do think you should try it out and you would probably find it interesting, but I suggest you wait until it gets a couple more updates to avoid frustration and your time being unnecessarily wasted. Apparently the devs plan to release a series of episodic sequels of Fariwalk in early 2018, as far as I'm concerned, I hope they could do a little more playtest before putting their products on the market. Nevertheless, with technique issues aside, I do like the artstyle, the world design, the atmosphere, the ambient sound, and the occasional spookiness of Fariwalk, and I'm looking forward to the future works by AIHASTO. But as for now, I think I'll have to leave this big ugly thumb down here, sorry.
Not excellent graphics, but apt horror atmosphere. jumpscare present and well done. Undoubtedly the game is incomplete and there are some bugs within the setting, but it left me a good memory in general. My rating 7/10
Spooky atmosphere, ok puzzles - wish I could recommend. But there's several game-breaking bugs that just ruin all progress and any enjoyment. For example, there's a cup shuffle game that if you lose is considered a game over and attempting to continue will either crash the game or bug the "quest" progress preventing you from retrying the cup shuffle.
I find this game fun and enjoyable, reminding me of surrealistic exploring games like Yume nikki or The Path. The world of the game is interesting to explore, finding nice scenery and good ambience/music. A bit counterintuitive side quest introduce us to an intriguing cast of characters, and i hope we'l get to know more about them in next chapter. Honestly, my playthrough was a bit tiresome because of losing progress due to bugs. But i was interested enough to play through the game in multiple tries, because i wanted to know how it will end. Also i hope there'll be an option to remove or reduce the amount of head bobbing, it was a bit nauseating.
It is broken and abandoned (Unable to cut the tree). Why are you still selling it? Shame on you, AIHASTO.
Great find for the price, its definitely got the creepy horror element to it. Especially if your playing Fariwalk for the first time. But if you are less into horror its also got the story, visuals, and simulation aspects of a well made game. They did have a few glitches, but they have patched them! And if your having trouble with cutting the tree you have to swing the sword By swiping to the left and right! Ran into this issue myself and thought it was the glitch everyone was talking about. Dont worry about not being able to interact with certain Objects before you reach the Forest, Youll get to it. Tried to say that wihtout spoilers! If you want to preview this first part or also ran into the issue with the tree: -check out the letsplay where i thought i ran into these issues: https://youtu.be/2_zQGAXPnh8 Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvJs_pYG2Yrso2oX6mxWQ8g *Pet ChinkyCat by hittin that Like and Subscribe to help her grow!* Subs/likes/comments back !
I bought this game for less then a buck but still can't recommend. The game seems to be fun for the short duration, it has a certain vibe and weirdness about it that I like. However during a certain point in the game I got sort of a game over screen. When I tried to continue my save game the game crashes and it seems my save file is corrupt. Looking on the forum this has been an issue ever since this game was released like 7 years ago by now and never was fixed by a developer. No matter what the price is of a game, if there are still game breaking bugs that are never getting fixed I simply cannot recommend a game. I am sorry to say I have requested a refund, hopefully the future games of this developer that I am going to play are less game breaking.
Achei meio confuso e sem sentido. Conversamos com criaturas na parede e uns bixo louco.
