Farewell North

This was a gorgeous game with beautiful scenery and music! I loved how immersed it made you feel in the islands and their culture while telling a wonderful, touching story. In terms of gameplay, I did struggle with the lack of a map and the fact that your compass only marks places you haven't been, which can make it hard to find somewhere you want to return to for a collectible. Otherwise, the game featured good environmental puzzles, and I really enjoyed how it worked. Overall, this game featured a beautiful story about memory, grief, and honoring where you've come from and the loved ones who have been with you along the way. I was very moved by it - it's heartwrenching but a great game!

Fantastic! Reminds me of Okami, Journey, Firewatch and Spirit of the North. This genre is well known by now and anyone who enjoys the meditative, calm and emotional games with light puzzle and exploration elements will have a memorable time with Farewell North. But beware; this one hits hard. This is probably the best solo dev indie I ever played.

Wunderschönes Spiel, emotionale Story und gemütliches Gameplay. Das beschreibt dieses Game nur sehr oberflächlich, aber doch sehr treffend. In meinem Fall war ich nach ca. 9 Stunden durch inkl. aller Geheimnisse und Collectables, die Story und vor allem das Ende wird mich aber noch länger beschäftigen. Dafür war ich schlichtweg nicht bereit, wurde eiskalt erwischt und ich habe auch jetzt in diesem Moment noch ein Tränchen in den Augen deswegen und geh jetzt erstmal meinen Hund umarmen.

Pleasant easy going game with actual story. You aren't saving the world but you are exploring someones life journey, and you can bark!

This is such a sweet and sentimental game. Absolutely beautifully done game.
