Faraday Protocol, while short, simpy isn't worth your time. -Overly simple, non-interesting and repetative puzzles that can be easily brute-forced, or require no thought at all (e. g. match the symbols on the wall / do the only possible thing avaliable to you at the moment). -Boring story that consists only of dialogues feed to you by what sounds like, or is AI-generated voices. What's worse, there's no way to skip them, so you'll have to listen to the nonsense to progress. -Striking visuals... that are striking for the first few minutes you've seen them. After that it's just the same room, after the same room, everything looks exactly the same. Overall, Faraday Protocol fails at being a puzzle game, does not have anything interesting to say and is boring to look at. At least it was cheap while on sale, I guess...
It was pretty fun. The puzzles weren't that hard when you compare it to other puzzle games, but for a casual pick up and play experience it was enjoyable. I beat this game over the course of. . . around a year maybe? I would play a few puzzles and stop when I got bored. I came back every couple of months and played until I got bored again then repeated this pattern. None of the puzzle mechanics were so complex that I couldn't figure out what to do next when I returned to the game so it's definitely more straight forward than something like the Witness. As for the story, it was very minimal and I didn't find the ending particularly satisfying. Worth picking up on sale.
Lovely game! It's a bit short (4 hours for experienced puzzlers), but the visuals are nice and the story is entertaining. Don't expect the next Talos or Portal. The puzzles are logical and not too hard to understand. Buy when on sale, not at full price.
if you wish for just a rating of the game, i'd say 6/10. good, but with some major flaws now on to the full review. i'll break it down into Story, Puzzles, and other thoughts
Story:
i think this might be one of my major gripes with the game. it's story is, not as good as i hoped. the pacing was a bit off and once it started to get intresting it ends. and talking about the ending, and with that will spoil it, kinda,
in the end you are given two choices, with neither feeling like the "correct" coice. now i can appriciate a "there is no winning here" scenario, i do prefer it when there is at least some notion of a victory even if it is a small one, but here no matter what you do the antagonist gets what they want.

Puzzles:
the puzzles were very hit or miss, i think the game starts of pretty well with the introduction puzzles, falls of slightly after, and the middle is a slog, but the last third is pretty good and intresting with one spoilery exception
the lass puzzle the one you do in the end while the antagonist monologues, is way to simple, which i can see why it is,wouldnt want to distract from the expostion i guess, but it's just simple combination pussles of pressing three buttons. i just wished there was a little bit more spice

other thoughts:
well, i've seen some compare this game to the talos principles and portal, i've only played the latter so i can only say if it compares to portal and... it does. sorry to say, but portal was better paced, had more charm, and more intresting dialogue. but then again, comparing this to portal was always gonna be unfair towards this game.
overall thoughts:
solid, does what it sets out to do, even if that journey is a bit rocky. definetly worth checking out if not to at least test it for yourself, it's not that long anyway. though i'd recommend maybe waiting on a sale
its not to my liking
Неплохая головоломка. Легкий сюжет, альтернативные концовки. Получил удовольствие
Faraday Protocol is an interesting puzzle game that is somewhat reminiscent of Portal. You play as Raug, an alien archaeologist exploring the ruins of an ancient but advanced civilization. You traverse the ruins solving puzzles using a gun that absorbs energy from sources and transfers it to empty energy vessels. Orange energy acts as power sources for doors and switches. Blue energy is used to connect switches and devices to power sources. There are also various other devices you interact with to solve puzzles, like symbol buttons that have to be put in a certain patter, color codes, etc. There are no enemies in the game, no death, just straightforward puzzle solving. The puzzles are interesting enough to make you think, but not hard enough that I ever got stuck for long. Only in a couple places did I find that the next action I had to take was by doing something in a hard-to-notice part of the level. The story is a little scanty; such as it is is revealed through journal recordings your character makes as you make your way further into the game, and some later interactions with an AI. The game is also fairly short. I was able to beat it in under 6 hours. But it's a decent puzzler for fans of the genre.
It's a small-ish puzzle game that I think is receiving a lot of hate for 2 $ (currently on sale). To be honest, 20 $ is kinda excessive for what you'll be receiving. I'd price it around 10 $ (full price) to be fair, and maybe 5 on a sale. Anyway, I had fun, so I recommend it, especially on such a low price currently.
Solid FPS puzzler, good graphics, nice puzzles, good story. I hope for Faraday Protocol 2.
