Far Horizon

Good fun. Will update when I play a little more.

Fun Loot shooter with crafting. Its a small dev team but there is obviously a lot of thought and love that went into this game. Worth a play!

Don't listen to the chuds, Hothtrooper delivered again. No Mans Sky if it was good.

This has the makings of a good game but at the moment it's so buggy that playing it is a massive exercise in frustration. Steam says I've played 34 minutes: it's actually more like two hours but constant crashes seem not to have been counted. One particularly irritating crash was a jump puzzle. BTW: Your game is only allowed to do jump puzzles when you have decent jump physics. I finally got to the end, tried to open one of the two reward chests, and.... crash to desktop. But there's more than just crashes. I died while attacking an android facility and got sent back. Found my previous equipment and got stuck in an endless loop of the main menu and the equipment list. These bugs need to be fixed soon, sooner, soonest because otherwise what looks like a fairly good game is unplayable. EDIT 2024-09-24: I've managed to play a bit more and encountered more of the same. There's a generally enjoyable game, but then I got a a crate menu that wouldn't disappear or let me pick up the contents, and then got another death-chest bug where I grabbed all my previous life's objects but then couldn't move at all. There's definitely some bugs around crates, guys. Beyond that it's okay. The combat sometimes feels overwhelming though. I'm on "normal" difficulty but suddenly being attacked by 30 or so enemies is crazy. Especially on my current (mandatory) island where the difficulty is Hard and I've been killed twice so far. At the moment, would still not recommend. EDIT: 2024-10-05 I've played this quite a bit more and not had more crash issues. I could add some gameplay issues but that would be unfair: it looks like the devs have fixed the problems that, for me, made the game unplayable. I'm swapping to a "Yes" recommend based on recent experiences. The game isn't perfect but it's playable and enjoyable, and that's the main thing. I should add that two developers reached out to me for more information about my issues. That's superb service and I thank them both.

Perhaps the game will become interesting over time, but now it requires strong improvements. In addition, there are no such necessary things as saving anywhere in the game. I have issued a refund because now it is absolutely not interesting to play this game.

Big things come in small packages. The Game may not be very big compared to other games like this, but the Storytelling is awesome.
