Fallout: New Vegas

Amazing rpg with terrible gun controls (thank god for mods) but you have to be incredibly calm because it will crash random moments and then you'll lose 2 hours of game play because you forgot to save every 5 minutes.

Fallout: New Vegas is an amazing open-world RPG that offers fantastic gameplay, a great story, excellent sound design, and an incredible amount of freedom and replayability. This was my first ever Fallout game, and while my first experience with it was difficult, I eventually learned how the mechanics worked and started enjoying the game more and more. The beginning can feel overwhelming, but after spending many hours exploring the Mojave Wasteland, everything starts to come together. The biggest strength of this game is the freedom it gives you. The quests are designed in a way where you can approach situations however you want. You can help characters, betray them, side with different factions, or completely change the outcome of events through your choices. The game does an excellent job of making every decision feel meaningful because there is rarely a simple "good" or "bad" choice. The story is also one of the game's greatest strengths. The conflict between the NCR, Caesar's Legion, Mr. House, and the Independent path creates a fascinating narrative where every faction has its own beliefs, goals, and flaws. The game never tells you who is truly right or wrong, allowing you to decide what future you want for the Mojave. The gameplay is very enjoyable thanks to the variety of weapons, character customization, leveling system, and exploration. Combat is not perfect, and the enemy AI can sometimes be disappointing, but the ability to build your character however you want makes progression satisfying. The sound design is excellent, with great voice acting, atmospheric environmental sounds, satisfying weapon effects, and an unforgettable soundtrack that perfectly fits the post-apocalyptic setting. However, the game does have problems. The biggest issue is the technical performance, with frequent crashes and screen freezes making the experience frustrating at times. The visuals are also very outdated, and some mechanics can feel annoying, such as the slow movement when carrying too many items. Despite these flaws, Fallout: New Vegas remains an incredible RPG because of its amazing choices, memorable world, and engaging story. The problems are noticeable, but they do not take away from how much fun this game is. A flawed but unforgettable game that is absolutely worth experiencing.

A legendary game for sure. It can be buggy, so you will need to mod it for best stability. I'd recommend locking to 60 fps for engine stability.

The best Fallout when it comes to roleplaying and decision making that feels impactful. Lots of variety in weapons, builds and pacifist options! Wonderful collection of DLC. Almost includes: Roboscorpions!

I love game

While I haven't completed my first playthrough, I've gone to a tent in the middle of nowhere, walked in with a shotgun, a floating robot, and some random dude with a sniper rifle, and we removed the brain tumor from some guy and we stole all their stuff (not much to begin with). One of my favorite games. This was my introduction to Bethesda's games and boy have I enjoyed this and Skyrim. New Vegas since it was coded without too many ♥♥♥♥♥ given runs pretty poorly and will likely crash unless you mod it to bypass the memory limit. Otherwise, enjoy all that the Mojave has to offer.
