Yes the anniversary editon caused and is causing a lot of mayhem in the modding community. But from my perspective i couldn't be bothered less. Yes it is hell to mod this on some parts but it is worth every single second of it. I have spent 20+ hours modding this and i am happy as to how it turned out. Ofc not a lot of people have time to spend much time on only modding this game but after you are done ya dont have to touch t again. With my specs attached you can see what i am dealing with so i dont mod this for better graphics but for the gameplay changes. So let me sum it up: Dont just buy the base game get the dlcs too it's only an extra 5 euros for a lot of things Modding MAY be a pain in the ass but you will pull through.
I know there's a lot of people who dislike this game in comparison to the rest in the series. I personally disagree. I enjoy the gunplay significantly more than the other fallout games, and the graphics are supreme for the year the game was released. The power armor is absolutely 100% the best part of this game, and is (in my opinion) the most well done of any fallout. It feels the way i imagine a walking tank should feel. The game does have its issues with crashing, even with decent specs, so ensure you save often. Base building is also (mostly) well done. Ive enjoyed this game for years, off and on. It has its quirks, but it is definitely tons of fun and worth the buy.
The game is the least favourite out of FO3 and FNV but I must say its very fun and enhanced when you add mods to the game. Vanilla is still decent but this game easily becomes top drawer with the addition of some mods. I like to keep it lore friendly.
