I don't want to set the world on fire.
Won't start up after pressing new game. Apparently I am not the only one with this issue. Looked for fixes but haven't worked for me so far. Even if I find a fix I will rate this game negatively because Bethesda should have fixed this bug ages ago. It should NOT be for sale if the game doesn't work without a mod for it to simply run. Should be against steam's TOS for games to be unable to be launched as well but greed and corporations go hand in hand.

Great as a sandbox (especially with mods), but vanilla is a hard sell; it's too bland, and there's too little to do.
i LOVE fallout 3, but the game (both non-goty and goty) will not start on PC here on Steam. bs. play it on 360 or PS3.

I genuinely do not understand how anyone can call this their favorite entry in the series. You literally cannot even launch the game without installing mods because it is so fundamentally broken. Once you actually get it running, the story is just completely awful and stupid. The combat is incredibly frustrating because even the most powerful weapons in the game feel like they do barely any damage to basic enemies. On top of that, navigating the map is an absolute nightmare. Every time you try to take a shortcut, you hit a pile of rubble that forces you down one specific, linear path. It gets old so fast that I eventually just gave up and downloaded a teleport mod to get around. Even though I got this on discount, I still desperately wish I could refund this mistake of a game. Paying anything at all for this piece of garbage feels like a waste. Honestly, I've seen mobile games with better design than this crap. -1/10, do not buy this unless you want to be heavily annoyed and disappointed.
