Reviews
This game is much closer in tone to the original Fallout than New Vegas is to it, This game is also the only game i have ever enjoyed being evil in, 8/10 would nuke megaton again.
good game
Happy to live in a world where Fallout 3 exist.
Better world and theming than all other fallout games but the gameplay makes it almost unplayable
El juego es hilarante hasta que consigues la T-51 y te vuelves una criatura de terror analógico
Other reviews suggest this game barely works, I have never had that experience with fallout 3, has run fine and never crashed. Fallout New Vegas on the other hand, crashed every 30 minutes by the time I'd beaten the DLCs, so in my experience this is way more stable than FNV. It's pretty decent! Definitely has some nostalgia factor for me, but I played this in 2024 and had a good time. I'd say Fallout New Vegas has better writing, combat is about the same for both but obviously inferior to Fo4's pretty good gunplay. Visually Fo3 is green and FNV is yellow, they don't look pretty, but that's fine for me, I wouldn't expect an apocalypse to be verdant.
A true classic
Mmmhhhmmm good game
divertido
I have nostalgia for this game, but don't purely base your opinion of this game on hate from youtubers and the like - the game certainly has flaws and appears very dated these days (especially the combat) but it's not to be written off as not worth playing. The main story is rightfully pretty boring and lame. What Bethesda really nailed with this game was the atmosphere. It does feel really cool to explore the wasteland even if it doesn't make all that much sense. There are also a bunch of great side quests. Despite having played this game for hours on the PS3 back in the day, I managed to get about 100 hours out of replaying it more recently, so I think that if it goes on sale you're getting good value for your money. It's also not as unstable as made out to be once you install only a few stability/enhancement mods (which I did the same for New Vegas and that game still manages the occasional crash every 2 hours unlike 3) and Bethesda also finally removed the GFL integration (better late than never I guess). The DLCs are also pretty good and besides Mothership Zeta being a bit of a slog they're all pretty good and each adds some new kit for you to use and more (albeit smaller) areas and locations for you to explore and plunder.
