Fallout 2: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game

Добротная, атмосферная, в меру мрачная и в меру чернушная RPG, рассказывающая действительно интересную и захватывающую историю, которой срочно нужен современный ремейк или переиздание, так как она реально устарела, забагована и не всегда запускается на современном железе без определённых фиксов (что в принципе стандартно для этой серии игр).

Fallout 2 is a heightened and improved version of its predecessor, and by most accounts is considered the better game. It's more content with new places, characters, and with deeper interaction. Its gameplay mechanics/systems are immediately improved and with less technical issues. Fallout 2 does not replace Fallout 1, but it does expand on what Fallout 1 does in key ways, most of them good, if not in great ways. Fallout 2 retains the original's spirit of pulling from Pulp media and expands the pool of influence in fresh and unique ways, while also providing equally improved and increased writing for dialogue and scenario designs. If there was any criticism of changes from 1, it would be that 2 is very willing to be silly or ridiculous, however I think they hit a nice balance in tone such that not everything is dark and grim and also not light and a romp. Fallout 2 pretty much keeps the same difficulty curve of the original intact, where new characters will struggle early-on due to a lack of specialization in certain skills and a lack of resources, but the better the player is in finding opportunities for money, equipment, and EXP, the better the sense of progression and accomplishment over the course of the game. Some of the technical issues of the original are also present but they are also reduced in severity, giving a much improved experience than the original. In these key ways, Fallout 2 feels a lot like a bigger version of the original, yet also a little more future proof and somewhat more recognizable to a modern audience in terms of expectations on content. It's an easy classic of the RPG genre, and a good game to play.

Excellent follow up to the original game. Played through several times way back in the day.

The sequel to the acclaimed 1996 game delivers in every aspect. For those looking to experience the older Fallout titles or those who want an incredible turn based RPG, Fallout 2 delivers everything and then some. It's called turn "based" for a reason.

I mean its great but the tutorial is annoying and stupid. Just have 10 intelligence and tag speech for your first run, helped me. Also be in the bethesda discord server, and make sure you realize a spear is in your inventory off rip. grab fast shot or small frame +gifted and have atleast 6 strength. the rest min max how you want.

Just as good as the first fallout.
