[h1][b]Fallout 2 – A post nuclear role playing game[/b][/h1] [b]Rating: 6/10 – Fine[/b] Similar to [b]Fallout[/b], [b]Fallout 2[/b] hasn’t aged the best, having the same technical issues / annoyances as the first game, and, in my opinion, could do with a remaster or remake to be more in line with modern [i]CRPGs[/i]. [b]Fallout 2[/b], in many ways, is an upgrade to [b]Fallout[/b] and if you enjoyed that game you will really like this one as well. Once more the art direction and soundtrack are [b]Great[/b] and I did enjoy the story, just not as much as the story of [b]Fallout[/b]. In terms of side content there is a lot more here than there was in the first game, and overall it’s all pretty [b]Good[/b] and enjoyable. Where I do think [b]Fallout 2[/b] is a bit weaker than [b]Fallout[/b] is the writing, which here is a bit hit-or-miss in my opinion, and the atmosphere. It’s not [b]Bad[/b] by any means, just a bit worse than what the first game offered. Where [b]Fallout 2[/b] outshines [b]Fallout[/b] is in gameplay and, as mentioned above, side content a.k.a stuff to do. This game is way longer than its predecessor with plenty of locations and side quests / encounters to undertake. I really liked many of the gameplay tweaks, especially when it comes to followers, providing a far smoother gameplay experience. Overall [b]Fallout 2[/b] is a [b]Fine[/b] game, in my opinion slightly worse than the original [b]Fallout[/b] but not significantly so. It has it’s own charm, I just prefer that of the first game more.
