FAITH is proof that a game doesn't need realistic graphics to create some of the creepiest horror experiences. With its retro pixel-art style, unsettling atmosphere, and incredible sound design, FAITH turns simplicity into a strength. The limited visuals leave your imagination to fill in the terrifying details, making every dark room and strange noise feel dangerous. 🌑 The gameplay is focused on exorcisms, exploration, and survival. Your holy cross is your main weapon, but knowing when to stand your ground and when to run away is the real challenge. The enemies are unpredictable, and the tension never disappears. ✝️👹 The story is one of the game's biggest strengths. It mixes horror, mystery, and religious themes with a unique style that feels like a lost classic from the 1980s. The atmosphere, writing, and disturbing moments stay with you long after finishing the game. 📼 Some players may find the controls intentionally old-fashioned, and the short length might leave you wanting more. However, the creativity and atmosphere easily make up for its simplicity. I expected a simple pixel horror game. I got a nightmare disguised as an Atari game. 😂💀 Have faith. You will need it. ✝️

When I had finished this game and gotten all of the endings, I decided I wanted to 100% this game before I wrote my review. That was about 10 hours in. And now, about 25 hours of gameplay later, I am writing this review. Having taken some time to 100% the game, I can be confident in saying that I do like it and think it's worth your time. To begin, I found the game to be unnerving and scary in spite of it's retro style. This game's use of rotoscoping really helps to bring that feeling of unease and to bring some of the scares. the moments of regular gameplay are pretty good, even with the aforementioned retro style. At first, I believed the character to move slowly, but it's a horror game so what are you gonna do. I soon got used to it and you probably will too if you give this game a chance. The controls are very simple, with your standard movement keys and spacebar for your cross. the bosses have some variety, and each present a challenge that can take some time to overcome. However, the bosses are not too tanky and the game is pretty generous with checkpoints during boss fights, so I didn't find them very frustrating. I found the story to be quite interesting, and I liked the themes that were portrayed. The creator does take Christianity seriously, so expect bible excerpts and biblical themes. As such, Christianity is very central to the plot, and I believe that it was used very effectively in the story. I do recommend that you play this game. It was pretty good as a horror game, and is worth your time. And if you play this game, or even just read this review, I ask that your remember this promise: "And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes" (Revelations, 21:4). God be with you.

Masterpiece. The style of the game is distinctly eerie with it's aesthetic and sound design, and the story has a nice balance of lore while also giving you enough for the attentive player to learn the basic plot, rather than just stating everything for you. Having that said, the game's mostly a narrative experience with simple gameplay, so if the art style and general vibe of the game don't pique your interest, it might not be for you. It's also worth noting that like most horror games, I recommend playing the game during the nice night in. I feel having the right environment really adds to the experience.
