From the dev of Bad Dreams comes this anthology story in a similar style but a slightly more scaled back form. If you like the Bad Dreams series, you will probably like this too, it has a similar weird, messed up, eerie vibe and totally nonsensical puzzles (but that has always been this series style), there's really no way of soft locking you from what I saw, and the ending of the last epiode has like 7 variations, but you can skip a huge portion of the game, so it's not a big issue. I especially liked the "Propaganda" episode and found it especially clever with the 4th wall breaking puzzles, loved that one. If the entire game was made with that concept I would say this would be the best from this dev so far, the other episodes are not bad, far from it, but that one really hit it home.
Simple and elegant design, smart puzzles (sometimes a bit head-breaking but it's entirely fine!), quiet atmosphere with few sound details that allow for puzzle-solving. For the extra achievements I used the guides (as I primarily wish to see what extras one gets), but the full run with all the primary achievements is smooth and well worth it! Lovely game!
Apart from how easy it is to get confused with certain puzzles and the fact that you can't save in the middle of a level, this game is really cool. You can play through 5 small weird and kind of creepy stories and discover bits and pieces of the world. Not everything makes sense, but it's not supposed to. This game does a good job of exploring the darker side of nonsense, especially in the Mumbling Crowd level (my favorite). Some of the levels' content changes depending on what choices you make, allowing you to unlock new areas and puzzles. Graphics are simple but not poorly done. I'm surprised more people haven't played it.
First off all- I encourage you to support the creator of the game and buy it. From all the resent games, this one feels the closest to the first games Desert Fox made, the same games that made me fall in love with the world, the style and the feeling of the games. Its a bit creepy, and it tickles the right parts of my brain. It's not a long game. I bought the game on itch.io, and it took me around a hour and a half to beat it ( I bought it here again to support the creator and to be able to write a review). Overall I find it very charming and I enjoined the ideas of the small stories it contain. If you liked the first games, please check this one too :D
Another great game from the developer. Or rather, a game collection. All of them were quite good; there was just one that was a bit more tedious, as it was sometimes hard to make out certain items, causing me to get a little stuck. For these game collections, I would really just like a save system. Even a simple one like the one in "Bad Dream: Purgatory" would be fine. While the games aren't long, and you can get back to where you left off fairly quickly if you know what to do, having a save feature would still be nice.
Fantastic game as always. I loved the creative parts
such as the left-handed "riddle"
and I really appreciate the extra achievements that change each story and add more content to the game.
Fun hidden object game. Has some slow segments, but has lots of ways to play through with many multiple endings.
Fun! Once you finish one of the games in this collection- replay it. Things change... lol
