About
Be the hero in your own cinematic epic of action, tension and terror. A mysterious paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in a Special Forces team only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart. With no other recourse, the elite F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) team is assembled to deal with the extraordinary circumstances. They are given one simple mission: Evaluate the threat and eliminate the intruders at any cost.
Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities. The multiplayer component for this expansion is no longer available.

A very good expansion. Like its predecessor (Extraction Point), this is a more condensed experience, with a greater variety of environments and more and better psychological horror scenes. If you enjoyed FEAR and wanted more, you'll be satisfied.
Extraction Point is the first game, but better. Perseus Mandate is simply more of the first game. It must be noted, though, that more of the first game is better than most of F.E.A.R. 2. Perseus Mandate, much like the second game, had the impossible task of following up the first game AND Extraction Point. While retaining the first game's gunplay, a lot of the new additions are "meh." Immediately obvious are the disgusting looking environments (the dam is the worst example, and the abandoned metro is an exception). The Nightcrawler mercenaries are cool but aren't as charming as the Replicas (although they moan as they die, which is funny). Even one of the new power-weapons, the lightning gun, has as much kick as an electric flyswatter. ...However, giving credit where credit is due, the pistols are everywhere. Joy. Perseus Mandate is still worth playing, because, again, it's more of the first game.
Тоже прикольно, но элитный ночной это ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Прыгает как блоха и здоровья немерено, здоровье вообще не соответствует внешнему виду.
Never would I imagine someone being capable of dodging my bullets, while also calling me a ♥♥♥♥♥ and sweetheart; while the mercs say "shut the ♥♥♥♥ up". THIS ONE, I liked a lot; as you could tell.
DANGEROUS!: Medkits Brought to you by Dell XPS gaming PCs. This is the scariest I've felt playing F.E.A.R. Also, yay because Steve Blum.
Yeah, much better than the previous one.
So in this universe, every protagonist just casually slows down time. No explanation, no nothing. Like it’s just part of the job description now. Maybe every good guy with a gun can do it here? Cops? Security guards? The guy watching the grocery store aisle? idk, probably yes? Sure, why not. Level design of closed locations, rooms interiors, and lighting somehow feel even worse than in F.E.A.R. Extraction Point. Still, it never got as exhausting as the original F.E.A.R. or Extraction Point did at times. You know that feeling when you’re just forcing yourself to keep playing? Didn’t really get that here. Could be those dummies a.k.a. squadmates making things less lonely, or maybe the narrative is just better structured than in the previous DLC and even the base game. New weapons are… yeah, they exist. Look like someone made them in Blender for a class project, but whatever. They add some variety... A little. Somehow it just flows better. Smaller levels, less nonsense, no running back and forth through the same corridors for no reason. There’s even a boss near the end. Basically a low budget version of Sam Fisher. As a kid, I struggled hard against him. He wasn’t just dangerous, he was actually scary. Dude freaked me out way more than anything else in the game, including Alma's jumpscares. And that definitely made him feel even deadlier. Crashes are still a disaster though, even with EchoPatch installed. Doesn’t matter how modern your PC is. I kept getting random crashes to desktop with different errors. I counted 4 unique errors during my playthrough. This thing seriously needs a remaster if anyone expects people to revisit it today. And yeah, since Trepang² exists, people might actually care.
i don't know why this expension gets so much hate i really enjoyed i think its very good
