About
Be the hero in your own cinematic epic of action, tension and terror. A mysterious paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in a Special Forces team only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart. With no other recourse, the elite F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) team is assembled to deal with the extraordinary circumstances. They are given one simple mission: Evaluate the threat and eliminate the intruders at any cost.
Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities. The multiplayer component for this expansion is no longer available.

has some bugs and glitches but overall very good

Very disappointing compared to FEAR 1 & especially Extraction Point. Both were great. This one is meh.
It had some cool moments, but the AI was absolutely braindead most of the time, which is disappointing considering how well it worked in the previous two entries. Soldiers would just shoot at the walls with no rhyme or reason and they rarely tried to grenade me out of hiding spots. There's also something to be said about those Elite Nightcrawler dudes being able to tank 20+ MP-50 Repeating Cannon shots to the face (not even the Heavy Armors were that tanky!) Also, there's only so many times you can get
grabbed by one of those floor monsters
before it starts getting old. And yet it keeps. On. Happening. Not more F.E.A.R./10
Extraction Point is the first game, but better. Perseus Mandate is simply more of the first game. It must be noted, though, that more of the first game is better than most of F.E.A.R. 2. Perseus Mandate, much like the second game, had the impossible task of following up the first game AND Extraction Point. While retaining the first game's gunplay, a lot of the new additions are "meh." Immediately obvious are the disgusting looking environments (the dam is the worst example, and the abandoned metro is an exception). The Nightcrawler mercenaries are cool but aren't as charming as the Replicas (although they moan as they die, which is funny). Even one of the new power-weapons, the lightning gun, has as much kick as an electric flyswatter. ...However, giving credit where credit is due, the pistols are everywhere. Joy. Perseus Mandate is still worth playing, because, again, it's more of the first game.
