I truly enjoy playing this Tower Defense game. It's colorful and fun. The later levels are very challenging, so I haven't beat the game yet, but am having fun playing. I would definitely recommend this for any fans of classic tower defense games.
The simplicity of this tower defense game is a charm in itself. It delivers a decent tower defense experience, and the town-building aspect feels lost. The game is rather short, and I purchased it during a sale; I wouldn't recommend paying the full price for it.

This game is terrible. there is no description to what you're doing or what any of the builds do for your town. The game give very few resources to build towers and finish levels. very poor game, save your money and buy a better tower defense game.
7.3 hours of Play time. 100% Achievements 16/16 Personal Game Grade: 5 out of 10 Very basic yet semi enjoyable TD game. Graphics are good, it's a great game for a beginner in the TD genre. It has a bit of a “learning curve” moment just a tip read the encyclopedia. Which is something you'll learn to do with all TD games. It does feel like this could be a mobile port. You don't have to repeat any stages to level up your skills unless maybe you didn't chose wisely. This game does get a bit how to say 1,2,3 hot key heavy. Meaning you should be using your skills/abilities on the regular. Pros: Very little to no Grinding Achievements are achieved via playing the game Great for a beginner of the TD Genre Graphics are fine. Neutral: The price when it's on sale. Simple Short Story You get what you get Cons:
I'm a tower defence lover, so I did like it interesting and somewhat enjoying to play and complete the campaign. Also, there were some new ideas used. However, Ezaron Defense is below average in TD games for the following reasons: 1. You can build structures in your town, which is kind of second level above actual TD maps. However, it's very boring. You don't get really anything from buildings. Well, you get those green crystals or gems, but adding a very superficial town building is just an eye candy that doesn't even taste good. I wish there was option just to convert building materials to green crystals with useless town building sugar, but that would reveal how shallow the game actually is. 2. I like to design my TD maps before each wave and during the waves mostly sit back and watch. However, in this game you need to be active all the time. You can't just watch and enjoy. You need to actively use powers, all the time in later levels, so that it becomes a hasty mouse clicking game instead of what I expect from a TD game. It's worsened by that fact that there is no active pause, meaning that you can't issue commands during pause. Similar to AoE4, or at least what AoE4 had originally. Because of lack of active pause I have't played AoE4 for years so I don't know if they have changed it. 3. The technology tree contains some overpowering item, like resetting you lives automatically after each wave. Even if you lose multiple lives in the last wave, you can easily get 3 stars. 4. There are limited locations to build towers. In later maps you can easily get more money than you can spend 5. Selling a tower give you hardly any money back, so don't make mistakes. There are other problems, too, but those are on the top of my mind.
Okish tower defense game, but there's some balance issues and the upgrades are quite boring. The game also feels very repetitive. There's better Tower Defense games around. Only bother with this if you have played all others. It will keep you occupied for a couple of hours unless you get bored.
Got this one on sale, about two bucks, and that feels about right. I must say, it certainly looks pretty, but as far as a tower defense game, it is deceptively basic and lacks a lot of the bells and whistles you might expect. That said, it does have some nice fluff, and so far seems well balanced, with levels that can be beaten, but require a return effort to get all of the upgrade points (gems) possible. The game does have strategic and tactical options for the player to consider, which is nice. Note that there are five kinds of spells, but you can only use three of them during game play, so it might be worth not buying and upgrading the ones you will use less of. I find the tower fire rate buff to be pretty darn useful. Where the game falls short is things like only having four types of towers, and from what I can see, they each up-grade twice with no decisions to be made, just bland up twice. You also buy a variety of buildings, but they don't seem to do anything more than give you an extra upgrade gem, nothing unique or special about them. For those who care, there is no pathing. Not a big deal for me, but I know this is something some players really care about. In the end, I would certainly give this a big thumbs down at full price, it lacks a lot of the depth one would expect for a game at that price point, but under two bucks seems about right. With this in mind, a single thumb up, a fun TD game, but nothing special. ADDENDUM: I have gotten a little further in, and you do unlock the ability to give towers a 4th level upgrade, and there are two choices. For example arrows can be poisoned (damage over time) or fire (more damage on impact)
