Nestled within galaxy NGC 43324 lies the earth-like planet Proteus, the home of ExoCross! Take on a (literally) out-of-this-world racing challenge featuring wild off-road terrain, powerful open-wheel vehicles, slipstream-powered boosts, and unparalleled handling, and see if you can become the greatest off-road racer in the galaxy!
4CPT physics: Fully-simulated chassis and suspension components and a soft-body tire model create realistic weight transfer and understeer/oversteer. Bring your rallying and off-road skills to Proteus and you’ll be rewarded!
Slipstream and boosts: Put the power down in the right places to charge past your opponents, or slot in behind them to recharge your boost as quickly as possible.
Three unique cars: Take the wheel of three distinct cars, each more challenging and powerful than the last. Start off in the approachable Vulcan XC-1500, enhance your skills in the more powerful Orion XC-3000, and see if you’ve got what it takes to master the fire-breathing Titan XC-7000.

Dozens of circuits: Do battle on 19 distinct track layouts—each raceable in both directions—across four unique zones. From desert-like sands to forest dirt, pavement, and even a track high above the ground, you’ve never seen racing like this.
AI Racing and Career Mode: Advance through six racing series, two per car, to establish yourself as the top driver in ExoCross, going into battle with challenging AI opponents in up to 10-race seasons. Just want to pick up and play? Pick any car and track combo you want and hit the track!
Challenge Mode: Take on 48 unique challenges across all four zones and showcase your top speed against a global leaderboard.
Online racing: Face off with global players in a mix of Challenges and circuit races, with player votes determining every car and track selection. When the community decides, will you have the skills to make the best of the rounds ahead?

ExoCross

Positives:
+ The potential + Good graphics + Ok sounds and music + Some of the physics is okay + Different game modes to choose from + A lot of adjustments in the vehicle's ESC can be made (kind of saves the game) + Achievements + Acceptable length (about 6+ hours)
Negatives:
- Arcade/simuation hybrid (simcade), but sort of fails at both - Only 3 nearly identical looking cars in total, and you often cant choose which one to drive - Only 4 environments (beyond that they all feel and look quite similar) - There is no grip difference if you drive on tarmac, gravel or snow - Is suppose to be set on a different planet, but it just looks like future earth (kind of disappointing) - 6 Laps in some of the races is too much - Feels quite mediocre to play in general after a while - Online play is dead (and so are many of the achievements)
Conclusion:
I must say I had quite high hopes for this game and unfortunately I got a bit disappointed. Dont get me wrong though, there is a lot of potential here and it can be partly enjoyable. But it kind of fails on several important terms. There is little variation in cars and tracks. And its not a proper arcade game or a real simulation game, its somewhere in between. Luckily you can adjust the ESC and that helps if you manage to find the correct values. If you turn everything on, you get a stiffer, easier controlled car, but overall speed will be limited. If you turn everything off, you get a floaty boat feel, but the speed will be maxed. So none of those are fantastic, but I finally found a sweet spot in the end (see below). And with the nice graphics and different game modes to choose from, its okay to play for a while. As long as you dont expect too much, like I did.
Total Score: 6/10
My reccommended ESC settings: (This will prevent most of the floaty boat feel, without affecting the speed too much) Anti-lock brakes - ON Stability Control - Somewhere between 2-5 Traction Control - OFF Steering Assist - OFF
Great , fun arcade racer and tbh i dont think it was meant to be anything else ! Alot of people moaning about it being such but i miss these games , its fun !!!
Handling is fun and challenging on its own to keep the car on track. Game lets me remap steering to LB+RB or keyboard Trackmania style, physics are sometimes bs but it's a nice mix of arcade+physics. Music bops. Devs got a lot of mileage out of the maps with different variations of short+long tracks but they're still only 5 maps total. Recommend it on sale.
ExoCross is a frustrating game to review because there is a solid foundation here. Its not at all a bad game. Its well polished, the graphics are decent, it runs decent, the driving physics have reasonable depth, though not addictingly good but you just get the underlying feeling that theres something missing here, something that makes you invest more time into it, that makes you want to come back to it. The game has some interesting ideas but it doesnt commit enough. You have fantasy cars but everything else is not that out of the ordinary. When you think about it, its not that different to Rallycross. I feel like the game could have been more interesting if committed further into a direction. And you could have gone many directions, For instance make it more combat focussed, a more in-depth collision and damage model, perhaps add weapons, armor, add power ups. You could go much crazier with the tracks and environments, it may sound stupid but even a Forza Horizon has more interesting tracks and locations. You could have gone crazier with the content. Car customization, more cars, innovative and new game modes rather than just doing the traditional race and time trial, the content feels a little limited and it doesnt necessarily have to be a bad thing, theres other games where few cars are plenty such as the Trackmania franchise in which the Stadium car is THE Trackmania car but the cars in this game arent interesting and versatile enough to reach that level where you want to come back because the driving is fun. As previously said, there is a solid foundation here but the physics are punishing if you dont get it right but yet they dont feel that rewarding when you do get it right, its like youre trying to avoid a big mistake the entire race rather than having fun driving like you do in other racing games that nail the concept of driving physics. Series like Burnout, we have already talked about Trackmania but also take something like Rocket League or Mario Kart. Physics that are relatively easy to pick up and yet still hard to master. Physics that dont feel that punishing when youre not good at them yet but there is still enough depth for a learning curve. ExoCross does nothing really bad, its not a bad game but it lacks a creative vision, something that makes it stand out, it simply is too conservative.
Otimo jogo pra relaxar
Not bad, I like it. The keyboard is a bit difficult to use due to the lack of a gamepad, it's good that it runs well on a low end pc or without dedicated GPU. It's not right that there is no advanced control facility with the keyboard
