About
Ex-Zodiac is a fast-paced rail shooter with a stylized look reminiscent of early 90's 3D games. Join protagonist Kyuu as she fights to free the worlds of the Sanzaru Star System, overrun by the intergalactic terrorist organization known as Zodiac.
FEATURING:
- A retro, colourful, low-poly visual style
- 11 main levels and 6 bonus levels currently (more than 12 will be available after full release)
- Major bosses at the end of each level, each piloted by a member of the Zodiac
- A 16-bit style soundtrack by +TEK combining FM and wavetable synthesis
- Barrel rolls
CONTROLS:
This game plays best using an Xinput compatible analogue controller (Xbox, PS4 etc), however digital devices can be used too, such as a D-pad or keyboard (analogue is definitely the way to go, though!). The controls are also re-mappable.
CREDITS:
Code, Design, Art, Sound Effects: Ben Hickling (MNKY)

Star Fax X Space Carrier Only played like 20 minutes but I can safely say I like this game as it's almost exactly like the two games their paying hommage to. It doesn't seem to bring anything new on the table, but it's a GREAT throwback and feels exactly like back in the days, but with much better framerate.
Star Fox SNES but way better! Borrows heavily in gameplay, has a similar aesthetic but high resolution, runs at 120fps, has really cool bosses and fun stages, the music is upbeat. I like fun games, this is fun once you get the hang of the controls which doesn't take only a few minutes. I expected to be let down, but I'm sitting here having fun! It's $5 on sale, no brainer if you like Star Fox. I'm kinda shocked really! Don't know what else to say, get it!
cool fun game, still incomplete, and the ranking system does boggle me, but i recommend it
This game deserves way more attention! One of the tightest gameplay and levels I've seen of its contemporaries and I was shocked to realize there's still more to come in the final version! While development seems to have taken awhile the current version is well and truly worth playing!
A amazing and fun call back to games like Starfox, Ex-Zodiac is a game with a lot of charm and unique levels with fun and addicting gameplay. I can't wait to see what else is in store for this game as it goes through Early Access. some small points/improvement/feedback in case the developers read this: - wish there was some form of optional training/tutorial area where you could practise with the different Vehicles. - some different difficulties to ease in players who may have never played games like this so that they can have a less punishing time with learning the controls. - an small intro crawl or something similar at the beginning to set the stage before the game actually begins just to set the stage. - some way of telling you when you have or haven't completed the data discs/chips so can keep track of the ones that you still need to collect/complete.
Isaw it on Twitter and bought it only to see if I could comfortably use gyro controls I can

as someone who really loves star fox 64, this is really good. as of writing this review, its not finished, but there are enough levels to be very very satisfying. check this out if you're curious - imo the premier lylat-like on steam.
Too punishing and too hard to gauge projectiles coming at you. The Space Harrier sections are quite annoying. It's better than Star Fox SNES but worse than Star Fox 64.
