Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

5/10. Good pieces (graphics, mechanics) but terribly rushed in execution and how those pieces connect to one another. Seems like developers had disparate ideas of the kind of game they wanted to make and no one to tie it together. That'd all be fine, but the reason that inevitably pushed this to a not recommend is the bugs introduced when rebinding keys with a keyboard and mouse. Functions flat out stop working if you rebind any keys in the in-game menu and in at least one part of the game you'll need to revert to defaults. And then the developers have the gall to introduce a character that pokes fun at the use of keyboard and mouse, showing lack of respect for players. Yeah no, pass.
gameplay loop is okay-ish the visual are great the rest is terrible.( in particular the control it feels like you control a broom with a broom up his ass) also way too much hand holding i dont know if it gets better latter on though

A great stealth game that breaks up long periods with some decent boss battles. Even playing on keyboard it was smooth to control. The story was interesting and kept my attention until the end. 10/10
This Game is amazing i really like the gameplay with the drone and all only thing that deceiving a bit is the ennemy varieties there not a lot but except for that graphic, sound story and all are top notch for a Indie game i give it a 8.5 out of 10
This is a good game but I'm kinda bad at it

[/olist]
[/olist]
[/olist]
[/olist]
EVOTINCTION is a stealth-focused sci-fi experience that deliberately rejects the modern trend of action-heavy gameplay in favor of something slower, more deliberate, and rooted in observation and control. Developed by Spikewave Games and published by Astrolabe Games, it casts you as Dr. Thomas Liu, a researcher trapped inside a high-tech facility that has spiraled into chaos after its artificial intelligence systems become compromised. Instead of empowering the player with weapons or brute-force solutions, the game builds its identity around vulnerability and intellect, asking you to outthink threats rather than overpower them. This design choice immediately sets the tone for an experience that values patience, planning, and precision above all else. At the center of the gameplay is a pure stealth framework where direct combat is not an option. Dr. Liu is not a fighter, and encounters with hostile machines are designed as puzzles rather than battles. The enemies—primarily autonomous drones—patrol areas with varying behaviors, forcing you to carefully study their patterns and movements. Success comes from understanding how these systems operate, identifying openings, and executing your plan without drawing attention. Detection is often punishing, which reinforces the importance of cautious play and creates a constant undercurrent of tension. The game’s pacing reflects this philosophy, encouraging players to slow down and think rather than react impulsively. What distinguishes EVOTINCTION from more traditional stealth titles is its heavy reliance on hacking mechanics. Instead of relying solely on hiding or distraction, you are equipped with tools that allow you to directly interfere with enemy systems. You can disrupt sensors, disable movement, or manipulate behavior in ways that fundamentally change how encounters unfold. This adds a strategic layer to the gameplay, as you are not just navigating around threats but actively reshaping the environment to your advantage. The system is designed to reward efficiency, as prolonged or careless use of hacking can trigger alarms, forcing you to balance risk and timing carefully. While the mechanics themselves are relatively straightforward, their application creates a satisfying sense of control when executed well. The level design supports this approach by presenting environments as interconnected spaces filled with opportunities for both risk and creativity. The facility is divided into different sections, each with its own layout, security systems, and visual identity. While progression is largely linear, the spaces are designed to encourage observation and experimentation. You are often given multiple ways to approach a situation, whether by sneaking past enemies, disabling them temporarily, or using environmental elements to your advantage. This flexibility helps maintain engagement, even as the core loop remains consistent throughout the game. Narratively, EVOTINCTION leans into familiar science fiction themes centered around artificial intelligence, control, and the unintended consequences of technological advancement. The story unfolds through dialogue, logs, and interactions with an AI companion, gradually revealing the events that led to the facility’s collapse. While the premise is intriguing, the storytelling can feel uneven. Key ideas are introduced with minimal context, and the pacing of revelations is inconsistent, which can make it difficult to fully connect with the narrative as it develops. By the end, the game delivers its core message, but it lacks the emotional depth or clarity that might have elevated it into something more memorable. Visually, the game presents a polished and atmospheric world. The facility is detailed and varied, with lighting and environmental design playing a significant role in establishing mood. Clean, futuristic interiors contrast with darker, more ominous areas, reinforcing the sense of isolation and danger. The visual clarity is particularly important for a stealth game, and EVOTINCTION generally succeeds in making key elements easy to read, even during tense moments. Sound design complements this with ambient audio and subtle cues that signal enemy presence or changes in the environment, helping to build suspense without overwhelming the player. Despite its strengths, the game is not without its shortcomings. The reliance on stealth as the sole gameplay pillar means that the experience can begin to feel repetitive over time, especially for players who prefer more varied mechanics. Enemy behavior, while functional, can occasionally feel inconsistent, leading to situations where outcomes seem unpredictable. Additionally, the relatively short length of the campaign limits the game’s ability to fully develop its systems and ideas. These factors contribute to a sense that the game, while solid in its foundation, does not quite reach its full potential. Even so, EVOTINCTION remains a compelling experience for players who appreciate methodical, systems-driven gameplay. It succeeds in creating a tense and thoughtful environment where every decision matters, and it offers a refreshing alternative to more action-oriented titles in the genre. Its focus on hacking and non-lethal problem-solving gives it a distinct identity, and its commitment to its core design philosophy is evident throughout. In the end, EVOTINCTION feels like a carefully constructed but somewhat restrained project. It delivers a clear vision of what it wants to be—a stealth-driven sci-fi puzzle experience—and executes that vision with competence, even if it doesn’t fully explore all of its possibilities. For fans of stealth games who enjoy planning, observation, and strategic thinking, it offers a rewarding, if occasionally uneven, journey. Rating: 8/10
