About
Customize your creatures using a unique state machine system. After every battle, you can add new actions to the state machine or enhance existing actions and their stats to refine your strategy.
Every enemy you encounter was created by another player. When a creature is defeated, it remains in the ocean and becomes an opponent for other players, including yourself! This creates an ever-expanding roster of unique enemies and a dynamic meta that evolves over time.
Track how your creations perform even after your run ends. In the depth overview, you can watch how they are performing. Build something powerful enough, and your creature might even become an elite enemy for other players to face!

Create and evolve creatures with near-limitless possibilities. The game currently includes:
8 unique creatures to pick from
40 different actions that can be used by a creature
27 different modules and modifiers to further modify actions
48 different cores that provide the creature with unique special abilities
8 different items that can appear as battle rewards

More creatures, actions, modules, modifiers, cores and rewards will be added with every major update!
This results in millions of different ways to play the game!

wow wow wow. I guess you've probably played some kind of autobattler before if you're here but this one is different. The balancing, the chance, the diverse meta, the gradients of simplicity and complication on offer. It's absolutely intoxicating. Having the option to have private galaxies with just your friends really gives you a laboratory to feel yourself breaking metas and gaining speed. When you're brave enough, you can go out and see what kinds of geniuses and freaks are out there claiming the deepest territory. I've never felt so good to be number 1 at something. Reaching the deepest depth makes you feel like a king. It's like 1000 fortnite victory royales at once.
In a genre defined by randomness, Evolve Lab stands out with its unique asynchronous multiplayer. Rather than fighting generic AI, you face creatures designed and defeated by other players, creating an ever-changing and unpredictable challenge. The game's core loop involves designing and programming your own sea creature using a "state machine" system. You decide how your creature will behave in battle by selecting actions, modifiers, and special abilities. As a long-time tester, I've had the pleasure of watching the game evolve over time, and this deep customization is truly the heart of the game, rewarding players who enjoy strategic thinking and build optimization. The current content offers a massive amount of replayability. The community-driven enemy roster ensures that no two runs are ever the same. If you're a fan of roguelikes and auto-battlers looking for a fresh twist, Evolve Lab is an excellent choice.
Balanced and simple, the game-play loop is scary addictive.
Gameplay loop: - Start a build that looks viable - Build is so good that you give your creature a unique name - Get emotional invested in your creature - Go up against the Adam Smasher of sea creatures - pain... sadness... regret - repeat
Very fun and satisfying game, IMO. I love the aesthetic, vibe, and theme. The balance seems to be quite tight, good and competitive. I'm looking forward to the full release and for the game to get more popular!
I can fully recommend this game to anyone who enjoys async auto battlers. Short disclaimer, I only played 2 out of the 4 planets so far since I can still learn a lot from them. Its real fun to figure out good combinations and where the meta goes, since you can bring more creatures in one run you can have specialized builds fitting best for the upcoming fight. Since the first planets have a more limiting creature/item/passive pool the meta is vastly different from planet to planet. Even the balance is awesome considering its in EA, runs very smooth and currently didn't discover any bugs. Since the replay ability is very high even with small changes I have very high hopes for this title. Thus far I had as much fun as I had with the bazzar or tft.
Seems like they really care about the project. Ill always back up any good devs.
Very fun and engaging, it needs more planets and creatures but is very interesting. Muy divertido y atrapante, aún necesita más planetas y criaturas pero es muy interesante.
I've had so much fun playing this game and really the only thing its missing is a large player base. The potential is all there with fun and wacky builds, meta games, player leaderboards, etc...just needs more eyeballs!
This game has my favourite ranking system of any autobattler. You fight to reach the furthest 'depth' (i.e. number of battles), with whoever getting the furthest becoming a boss at that depth. This allows anyone to become a top rank (however briefly), and feels like doing well can have a real impact and recognition. While you can still grind for rank, having a fantastic lucky run is also properly rewarded. This alone makes this game great and I wish other games used this ranking system.
