Before I played Evolution VR, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
It is free and resembles spore. It requires room scale environment and you can't play it seated, as environment is larger than what you can comfortably reach while sitting down. The number of parts you can attach to a creature seems to be limited, and I'm unsure if limit stays or you can attach more at a later date. The controls are kinda bad. Moving around with controller is really awkward and disorienting as you never know where you end up. Aiming is not great either. On oculus quest + Virtual Desktop contorls are mixed up and I"ve seen this glitch before where stick press gets remapped to A button. I can say that I didn't enjoy it. But if you have larger playspace and can play standing, it could be decent.
There is a reason this game is free - It doesn't work at all., there is no game play, no actions to take, nothing to do. Things to unlock but you cant unlock them because the game does not work. Congrats on a hit job devs!!
This game seems like a good idea. I want to believe it's a good idea. And if the makers of this game had made the game so that most VR users can get past the title screen, I might actually believe it's a good idea. But until it's playable, I can't very well call it a good idea now can I?
ne dépasse pas l'écran titre, dommage (valve index)
I first tried this game on Valve Index. Same thing as everyone else, froze at loading screen. Then I tried on my old original quest. It works BEAUTIFULLY!!! Even with Virtual Desktop. The only issue I have is the action button "A" is right thumb stick button push. Please fix for Index users.
stuck at loading screen, broken game

this is a cool game. its like the evolution games you probably played before, but if not, its pretty simple. eat. then upgrade. eat fish smaller or weaker, then evolve and place your new appendages? ahh ya know, like a beak or a fin, each giving attack or speed upgrade respectively. theres also skills with certian items. after killing and collecting the parts, you get bigger fish that can hold more parts and such. for instance if you take the eyes off to put more spiky spikes, you cant see lol. well you can but its blurry as mess. cool really. so simple concept, but it becomes more deep as you play and upgrade, with things like ice or toxic sacs on enemys, spikey or armored enemys, even some environmental hazards like jellyfishys. now, accessibilty, this game runs on rift S. it even has in game controller models.... thank you for that. anyways theres one hiccup, and thats that the left stick is your start button and right is your button to go to evolving screen. easy fix though, if you like me dont want to click the sticks in, you can map them to the A and X buttons, using steam controller configs. there should be a preset one i made at least there, or do it yourself. there is no turning options, but there is a way to move a bit in the underwater area. sort of a dash teleport. it works fine. other than that theres not much to it, except eating items and fish. bought it for 50 cents, and soon it will be free. either of those are really a good deal, becuase i would reccomend this game even at a higher price, i just never found it until now. it was definately well hidden. so reccomend for sure.
