Evochron Mercenary

Evochron Mercenary is a great space game - locating minerals and doing special missions is a great way to build up your reputation and upgrade your ship. From racing to space dog-fights it is all fun. I'd recommend this game to anyone interested in space games. It's a must have collection.

may be an older game with respective graphics, and the play is very independent learning and on the fly but the game is open ended, massive and can be tailored to your individual wants and needs. I've spent six hours just figuring things out and keep finding more and more to keep me engaged

This is a great game, for as far as it goes. Unfortunately compared to other Space sims, there's just not a lot of ongoing content here. Somewhere around the 25-30 hour mark, maybe sooner, you'll simply run out of things to do. If you can get this for 80-90% off, for a couple of bucks, then I'd recommend it. Full price? No.

UM, recommended, I guess.

It's strange because I'am playing this game after I already putted more than 100 hours in the successor EL. I can say EL is clearly a big upgrade compared to this but there are things I like way more in Mercenary, i.e. ships design and the overall atmosphere of the game. While in the EL ships and the universe look very clean in Mercenary the atmosphere is somewhat darker and i really like it, It looks like a space game from the 90s.

I really regret buying this

Сподобалось все, граю всіма профілями, дуже заворожує космос, битви не наскучують, от такими мають бути космічні ігри, але в цій грі можна ще додати: планети та міста мають бути меншими, приземлення на планету можна зробити, є недолік коли я пристикувався до крейсера, то мене через крейсер прострілюють, але крейсер не стріляє...
