I still love this game
Very neat little game with a cool soundtrack, mostly a game of vibes rather than one of extreme gameplay depth or anything like that, and an interesting look into what indie games were about 20 years ago. Sometimes I feel like that sort of innovation and experimentation has sort of been lost over the years in favor of more conventional AA expectations, so it's interesting to look back from time to time. WASD to shoot and Arrow Keys to move is an insane default, but luckily you can change it in the settings, haha. I think it could definitely be more in depth. You receive points that you can spend on 'upgrades,' but all that amounts to is extra lives and visual effects. I think that having more substantial standard upgrades, like damage or movement speed, would be a massive improvement to the sense of progression in this game.
this game slipped under the radar. it's a great execution on the concept and its can draw you in to a trance with its combination of music and gameplay
Oldie but goodie. Bullet hell shooter with a good soundtrack and interesting level mechanics that change each level. I remember getting this in a bundle a long time ago. Played it a bit in college. Its the type of game you won't play a lot of, but the type of game that you can crack open on a late night and just have a bit of fun before bed.
It's a bit artsy-fartsy with guitar strings signifying explosions. Plus, it has a bizarre scoring and progress system... and the price-tag is too high. The unique gameplay and varied level-design just about saves it though.
Really fun!
very fun
unique twin stick shooter from back in the day, good use of music, innovative gameplay
a weird little gem I come back to every now and again
I have been thinking about Everyday Shooter consistently since I first played it around when it came out. I don't know what stopped me from picking up the game, but in a conversation last night I did. This is one of the most unique and interesting games I have had the pleasure of playing. It is simple with unique levels and a gorgeous reactive musical soundscape. After all these years I find myself thinking about the chain mechanics unique to each level. The way in which you have to learn the nuances of each round by paying attention to graphical cues is just so good.
