About
An ongoing apocalyptic meteor shower has forced the world’s population to settle underground. As Shell, a feline child who awakens to find her mother missing, you will drill downward into the depths to discover a hidden subterranean world and its inhabitants: tormented creatures with an uncertain past.
This narrative exploration and platform game inspired by 16-bit aesthetics will take you back to the simplicity and excitement of the classics of that era. There’s a vibrant and dynamic world to explore, and lots of peculiar characters to meet and varied puzzles to solve. Will you discover the secrets hidden in the Everdeep?
As you descend, your decisions determine Shell’s route through the depths, from secret caverns to sprawling underground dwellings.
Encounter characters along the way with unique personalities and, sometimes, optional side quests.

Atmospheric pixel art and an evocative soundtrack, with palettes and musical themes shifting from one location to the next.

It's a cute little game, maybe about 4-5 hours total length. The platforming is a bit finicky, and it's mechanically not particularly interesting. But, it's got some neat character designs, and the narrative is layered in enough double-speak that it's reasonably engaging to try and figure out what the actual plot and history of the world are. Not a strong recommendation, per se. But it's an enjoyable enough experience for the length of the game.
Doesn't have autosave on quit which is just ridiculous. I lost an hour of progress due to the game lacking such a basic QoL feature.
Game was alright. Good artwork, nice relaxing music, but does not deliver anything too fancy on the gameplay part, as the only thing you do is explore and sometimes get to drill. What I am quite disappointed in is the true ending which is too open-ended for my liking,
you go fetch all the 3 keys, and in the end we don't even get to see a conclusion on what happens to those above, or how the everdeep monster looks like or if it even exists in the first place.
True ending aside, I would still recommend playing this game as it was a relaxing experience and it's not such a huge time commitment.
I really enjoyed the graphics, atmosphere, and sound. It reminded me a bit of old Game Boy games. The rudimentary gameplay immediately captivated me, and I wanted to know what was happening in this world. There are three different endings, which leave room for interpretation and, unfortunately, also leave some things unresolved. I had a lot of fun with the game, but I'm not entirely satisfied with the endings. Nevertheless, I can recommend the game. And most importantly, you can meow at the touch of a button :)
Cute little platformer with a "make your own path" mechanic in the form of a Drill

The Pixel-Art is very well done and I liked it quite a lot
The atmosphere and music are pretty good too
My gripes with this game are elsewhere, I understand how someone can like this game but I find it odd that they overlooked the following :

Dialogue Variety : I'm unsure how to properly describe it, but this coupled with the fact that some forced dialogue conversation triggers by just walking in front of the NPC made me dislike some part of it, it makes the NPCs feel VERY shallow at times
Endings : I will not elaborate as that would be a spoiler, but I genuinely had to pull out a guide just to check if the ending was that bad, The "True" ending doesn't really feel very fulfilling
20 price tag : I finished the game in 5 hours without "feeling" like I overlooked the sidequests, maybe I have like another 2 to 3 hours of sidequesting, if the price tag scares you a little bit, I wouldn't recommend

Some smaller points I would like to mention is the absolutely horrid inventory management/UI, it's not that bad but scrolling through the inventory gets old very fast
You can Meow in this game, it doesn't really do anything

What I did not find gripes with is

No auto-save, you need to go to a camp to save : while this could have made me give a negative point, this is SUCH a non-issue in that game, (especially given the playtime it gets )
Not very challenging platformer : it's ok for some games to be 'chill' and not have tedious/hard platforming sections ( Path of Pain Hollow Knight ), I AM a bit sad about this game lack of difficulty but I don't think this should be counted as a demerit

Super cute, very comfy, and fun dialogue with interesting characters. Great little game overall
