EVAN QUEST – это какая-то месть боксёра на UE. Просто пробегаете до конца уровня, стараясь избегать врагов. Со 2 уровня уровни становятся коридорными и без насилия уже не обойтись. Расталкиваете болванчиков и бежите дальше. Сделано это всё в духе обычных кривых инди игр на UE. Да здесь есть нормальные текстуры, свет, где-то анимации, но это всё равно выглядит ужасно. Мусор.

I can't believe it. There was a time before I played Evan Quest where i didn't really know the potential of video games. That was a dark time. Many of the hours I spent searching for some kind of meaning: wasted. All in a hope of one day meeting a game that could make me feel like I was part of something special. Evan Quest popped up on my steam recommendations and on a whim I purchased this game, and played it. Now everything tastes better, music sounds better and I haven't stopped smiling since. This is life. This is Evan Quest. Thank you.

I'm actually somewhat hopeful for whatever comes next. There's still a lot that needs some work here. Level design makes sense for the first title in awhile, but there's way too much hand holding here. Combat is atrocious, and you can just spam your skills to defeat the bad dudes... Or you can just run past them to the end of the level, because combat is again incredibly boring and unsatisfying. No sound settings? The music is blaring. There was no sound for punching dudes. The story forgets what it was about during the first level. Bad dudes are pretending to be cops? Yeah, towards the end of the first level the entire narrative falls apart and you just fight everyone you run into. The whole thing takes about 25 minutes to play at best. I still can't recommend it, but I'm patiently waiting for the next title to see if things improve.
