At first, I somehow stumbled across this game on Steam. After checking out the screenshots, I wasn't particularly impressed by the visuals and thought, *"Should I even buy this?"* At the time, I was mainly looking for anime-style games with eye-catching graphics. Fortunately, the game had a demo available, so I decided to give it a try (after all, it cost me nothing). And... OMG... this game is REALLY GOOD. I got completely hooked for about 50 minutes straight while playing the demo, and I have to admit that I was totally wrong for judging the game solely based on its graphics and assuming it had no potential. Don't make the same mistake I did. The demo is still available, so give it a shot and decide for yourself whether it's worth buying. Personally, I think it's absolutely worth every penny. If you're a fan of the Persona-style formula and the way this genre is executed, then you absolutely have to try Eternights. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! Of course, the game isn't perfect, and there are a few things that could be improved. I only have one minor piece of feedback (and honestly, the overall experience more than makes up for it): the combat. Specifically, dodging attacks feels a bit difficult because the timing window is hard to judge, and it's not always easy to tell when an enemy is about to attack. That's really my only complaint. I'm looking forward to the developer's next game—or even an Eternights sequel. Honestly, either would be great. As long as the developers continue building on the strengths that made Eternights so enjoyable and keep making similar games, I'll be there to support them!
despite the game feeling short it was overall a great game the story was fun, the characters are memorable and the voice acting was surprisingly on point so if you want a lighter anime horror with low difficulty romance features and fast paced active combat this is definitely it.
Broke my heart Great game. I loved the dialogue and the characters. Combat wasn't perfect, but not as bad as some reviews have you believe I think. Played through the entire game on my Steam Deck. Ran perfectly out of the box.
The game being made the way it is, the graphics and the style. Honestly it's quite charming. The story made me tear up a bit, and I don't know. For a few minutes I said man these graphics SUCK. But then it grew on me immediately. Everything is basically there. I played at a moderate pace and I felt like everything was not missable.
