Great Game but look at that kitty, whoever pass by can pet it and give it a thumbs up. Have a nice day :3 /> フ | _ _ l /` ミ_xノ / | / ヽ ノ │ | | | / ̄| | | | | ( ̄ヽ__ヽ_)__)
Hearthstone: Steam Edition, except the defender gets to pick who the attacker is striking. Like Hearthstone, most cards are keyword combinations without a trait unique to that card. The colored factions don't have strong identity because keywords are shared across all factions. Like Hearthstone, players trade back and forth in the first half of the game for card advantage until the latter half, where they find themselves with more resource than they can spend because the game devolves into drawing the top card of the deck and then playing it. It's a decent game in a vacuum, but doesn't bring it's own unique mechanics or theme to help it stand out from every other Magic: the Gathering and Hearthstone clone on the market.
The addition of the Hunt mechanic thoroughly ruined the game. I'm ready to tolerate half the characters being gay or brown (yes, Elves too if you were wondering), and a lot of the art and characters feeling uninspired and bland, because ultimately such a thing doesn't matter as long as the actual gameplay mechanics are compelling. Watching Hunt animations in almost all of the chapters and campaigns, and in a large proportion of the gauntlet adversaries (meaning you have to face dozens of Hunt decks to get your rank up rewards each time) just isn't fun. I have no idea who the ♥♥♥♥ thought it would be a good idea to greenlight this garbage in a game where the original goal was to have a quicker, more unit-combat-focused version of MTG. The unskippable (terrible) dialogue in the story chapters (their FOMO mode of monetization) make playing through the egregious decks (several of them use Hunt) that much worse. It's borderline unplayable, to the point where if you use it in PVP people will rope you just for using this cancer. Seriously, remove it from the game and watch it flourish again. Even the Youtubers/streamers left when this ♥♥♥♥ came out. You can't have SBI levels of modern day ideological garbage AND trash mechanics in a game and expect it to succeed.
New players have no chance lol
If only the shuffler, the starting hand mechanic and the terrible draw mechanic was fixed or made to actually not be the part where they rig you. You can hit Master with any deck. Play enough games, the matchmaking systems in place will allow you to climb. All while holding powerful cards behind a paywall over and over and over and over and over again.

If you shook Magic the Gathering in carbonated bottle and then dropped in some blood, magic, sweet graphics and then pumped full of atomic energy and then you shot the bottle over a cliff and a pegasus caught it, they probably would have Eternal. This game is awesome and free. My only real complaint is it is strictly a 1 v 1 game, but otherwise, give it a shot, I say!
