Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 20.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 25.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like, TTRPG-turned-CRPG set in a bizarre post-Arcanepunk fantasy setting. You are The Cleric, an expert in esoteric events, and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, Esoteric Ebb features deep and branching dialogs with a staggering amount of choices.
Create the world’s worst cleric. Take on the city through tense TTRPG dice rolls. Struggle to maintain control with your Stats chiming in at every moment. Let the voices guide you into insane encounters and hit that natural 20 right when you need it. Become the most interesting player at the table and completely ruin your DM’s day.
Five days until the first-ever election, a tea shop explodes in the heart of the city. They send you to deal with the mess.
You wake up in a morgue with half the river in your boots, surrounded by ten thousand rotting apples, several corpses, and one zombie. Out of your depth and with no official backup, you delve into your beloved city to investigate the impossible mystery no one wants you to solve. Juggle factions and play them against each other. Explore the streets and tunnels of a fantasy metropolis. Debate devils, drunk sphinxes, and all manner of fantastical fools in a world where mythological creatures sell newspapers at corner shops and ideologies overtake the ramblings of dead gods.

Don’t forget the most important question: What are you voting in the election?
MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL COME BACK TO BITE YOU. Shifting alliances! Risky dungeoneering! Complete open-ended quests, low and high-stakes alike, set in the streets, towers, and dark tunnels of Norvik. Become the city’s savior, its demise, or bumble your way into absolute power.
TRUST THE DICE. Let chance guide you! Roll to wrestle dwarves, steal anything in sight, or to keep yourself from looking like a complete fool. But remember, in true TTRPG fashion, failure can often be way more interesting.

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Debate yourself! Each Ability Stat has a conflicting viewpoint and loves to interrupt important conversations. No matter whose side you fall on, you'll complete quests in wonderfully ridiculous ways.

WIELD REALITY-SHAPING MAGIC. Use The Cleric’s power for unique narrative choices. Control minds for fun and profit. Detect secrets in the tunnels below or in the thoughts of your enemies. Speak with anyone, living or dead, just to see how they insult you.

TURN-BASED ENCOUNTERS. Clerics in Norvik are taught to use violence as a last resort. When the need does arise, a roll of the dice determines life or death. But you always have a bizarre solution to any problem, don’t you?

THE QUESTING TREE. Your quest log, skill tree, and mind map all at once. Each Quest Branch can take root in your mind and alter The Cleric’s playstyle through game-changing feats.

Too much like Disco Elysium, wish I would have known it was a walk and talk simulator, with an RPG overlay before I bought it. I was soo bored with walls after walls of text... Gave it a good try but uninstalled after awhile. I like some actual combat and gameplay in RPGs vs a visual novel-ish game with minor rpg elements.

eu amei este jogo
The current gaming industry will rave non-stop on how clever, how philosophical, how phenomenal their product is when their entire product is told in a punch line, where they can bask in their own indulgence of how great they are. Esoteric Ebb is a marvel of a game. It does not listen to current trends, nor does it tell you how great it is. I will echo every other reviewer in saying it is heavily inspired by Disco Elysium; multitude of choices that matter, heavy dialogue (you will be reading ALOT), and a world that you are free to explore in however you want. The difference being that Esoteric Ebb is *fun*. The game does not take itself serious and allows for a fair bit of whimsy but you will still care about the world and those silly goblins. In my opinion, the best representation whether you're going to like this game is watching the first seven seconds of the trailer. It is such an accurate display of what you will experience in the game. Most importantly, don't forget to vote for your favorite God-Emperor Wizard.

Very fun if you know at least some fantasy universes because its full to the brim with references
Amaizing game. In many cases even better than Disco Elysium for me. I had time of my life going through the game. The world is build with such attention to detail that I just want to go back and play again to see all the lore i might have missed. The exploration felt rewarding. There always was something to find to improve our character and rewarded paying attention to what every character was saying. Also i prefer only having 6 voices in my head instead of 30 and fantasy setting. The game makes somehow more sense and has better world building than disco Now for the cons: Lets start with the least problematic. Music is kinda meh. Especially felt in the last location of the game. It felt underwhelming in such climactic moment. And in the last song i could not understand a single word and i dont know if thats because it is in different language or just a bad mix. Now for the most glaring: in the disco elysium losing a roll was not the end and often opened new routes so that player did not have to reload to save scum. In this game it is required in many fights. I had int/wis/str so i had minimum hp possible. In every fight enemy only focuses player and deals imposible damage. In the first ambush i died at least 15 times as enemy killed me on average in 2 turns and i had to win every dice roll to survive. The same for the wall mimic. Death saving throws do little to mitigate this issue. It should have been nearly 32% but out of about 50 death i have only survived 4 times. Only after getting bark skin i have started really playing the game and started really beating enemies and i that point i have mayber died 4 times at most.
I knew what I purchased, but for some reason started out playing the campaign way too logically and got stuck. But, the esoteric nature of the beast wouldn't stand for it and I slowly spiraled into madness, tripping through a world that doesn't take itself too seriously. I don't think the d20 likes me very much, but rolling with my failures was the only way to play. Hilarious!
