Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 20.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 25.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Esoteric Ebb is an isometric, Disco-like, TTRPG-turned-CRPG set in a bizarre post-Arcanepunk fantasy setting. You are The Cleric, an expert in esoteric events, and a glorified government goon. Inspired by classic CRPG games, Esoteric Ebb features deep and branching dialogs with a staggering amount of choices.
Create the world’s worst cleric. Take on the city through tense TTRPG dice rolls. Struggle to maintain control with your Stats chiming in at every moment. Let the voices guide you into insane encounters and hit that natural 20 right when you need it. Become the most interesting player at the table and completely ruin your DM’s day.
Five days until the first-ever election, a tea shop explodes in the heart of the city. They send you to deal with the mess.
You wake up in a morgue with half the river in your boots, surrounded by ten thousand rotting apples, several corpses, and one zombie. Out of your depth and with no official backup, you delve into your beloved city to investigate the impossible mystery no one wants you to solve. Juggle factions and play them against each other. Explore the streets and tunnels of a fantasy metropolis. Debate devils, drunk sphinxes, and all manner of fantastical fools in a world where mythological creatures sell newspapers at corner shops and ideologies overtake the ramblings of dead gods.

Don’t forget the most important question: What are you voting in the election?
MAKE CHOICES THAT WILL COME BACK TO BITE YOU. Shifting alliances! Risky dungeoneering! Complete open-ended quests, low and high-stakes alike, set in the streets, towers, and dark tunnels of Norvik. Become the city’s savior, its demise, or bumble your way into absolute power.
TRUST THE DICE. Let chance guide you! Roll to wrestle dwarves, steal anything in sight, or to keep yourself from looking like a complete fool. But remember, in true TTRPG fashion, failure can often be way more interesting.

IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. Debate yourself! Each Ability Stat has a conflicting viewpoint and loves to interrupt important conversations. No matter whose side you fall on, you'll complete quests in wonderfully ridiculous ways.

WIELD REALITY-SHAPING MAGIC. Use The Cleric’s power for unique narrative choices. Control minds for fun and profit. Detect secrets in the tunnels below or in the thoughts of your enemies. Speak with anyone, living or dead, just to see how they insult you.

TURN-BASED ENCOUNTERS. Clerics in Norvik are taught to use violence as a last resort. When the need does arise, a roll of the dice determines life or death. But you always have a bizarre solution to any problem, don’t you?

THE QUESTING TREE. Your quest log, skill tree, and mind map all at once. Each Quest Branch can take root in your mind and alter The Cleric’s playstyle through game-changing feats.

Charming game, with a lot of love put into it. Discolike, DnD-esque, visual novel and adventure. Very worth playing. If you found this game while searching for a way to fill a Disco-Elysium-shaped hole in your heart, it won't fill it. But it will make another, new, fresher similarly-shaped hole in your heart. It has its own weaknesses and strengths. Strongly recommend, especially for fantasy lovers.
Güzel oyun hikayesi insanı içine çekiyor. Seslendirme olsa daha da iyi olurdu ama bu bütçede zor belki ilerde tutarsa.

Awesome game, do play it
What a good and fun game. I haven't played Disco Elysium, but I will definitely have to check it out now. Esoteric Ebb has both a small scale and a very wide world, one that I would love to see more of. Its scale works in its favor though, as you are on a time-crunched mission to uncover what seems to be a political conspiracy less than a week before a world-changing election. Every character you meet will have an impact on the two main questions of the game: "What happened in the tea shop." and "Who are you voting for?" The amount of freedom the game gives you in both regards is quite refreshing and very enjoyable. While still operating on a general Dnd-type base, this game plays very differently from things like Baldur's Gate. Instead, everything is conversation/text oriented, with your six main skills (Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma) all speaking up with their own personalities, agendas, and political motivations, turning you into some kind of schizophrenic vessel for a dysfunctional Thanksgiving dinner (a dinner comprising only of apples, appleboy). Combat and battles happen in this same conversation format, and while the game does offer you the option to just straight up punch people in the face (and you often will have to or want too), there is always the available option to use your wisdom or charisma to extricate yourself from the situation (even if that involves you rolling a nat 1 and hugging a troll...). The game honestly doesn't try to do a lot, but what it does choose to do, it executes very well. The final confrontation of the game was pulling strings from random side-quests I did five days ago, mentioning names that were offhandedly referenced twice, and yet was more relevant to the story than the person I rescued right beforehand. The writing is very well done, and does really make you consider your political stance (both in game and outside of the game), but also doesn't fault you for the one you make, because it openly admits that all of them do have faults. There is nobody perfect in this story, not even you, but you will find many good people in the story. And you're called to be one of them. So yeah. Esoteric Ebb is not by any means the most phenomenal game I've ever played, but it's very memorable one, a very enjoyable one, and a very humorous one that achieves everything it was trying to do in simultaineously the stupid and serious way possible, and I love this game for it. Overall, I'd say there's a 50/50 chance you would play it, but those odds should change.
This game feels like it should check all my boxes, but I couldn't get into the writing. There's also a problem (at least early on) where failed dialogue checks mostly result in losing hp and moving on.
Hilarious, satisfying, surprising
I very much liked this game, if you like disco elysium, planescape torment, and those kind of great worldbuilding dialogue heavy games you will love this game! Its inspired and carries the spirit of those games beautifullyI would highly recommend it ahhh i loved how meaningful the ending was, I really want to play another game with *The Cleric* and his future adventures :)
this game is as good as planescapes torment, and absolutely worth you time
I have to admit, I did not read through every single dialogue. This is a very text heavy game tangled with lore, philosophy, race theory, religon, class conflict, you name it. I read through ideas and conversations what were interesting to me. One thing that does stay consistent throughout is the lighted-hearted tone of the game. It's truly an achievement to discuss some heavy, contested topics but still manage to keep the tone of the overall game comedic and witty. Art is beautiful. It's a bit confusing to navigate but one gets the hang of it. The gameplay is heavily inspired by Disco Elysium with the dice roll mechanic, a far from perfect MC with inner voices pulling in different directions, and the overarching narrative of solving a crime - that said it's still extremely unique in terms of the world building and characters. I look forward the sequel!
I've spent many an hour parsing through the many "DE" lookalikes that have released over the last few years, most had some really unique ideas driven by the passionate people who loved the style of DE just as much as the rest of us. Unfortunately most fell short. Esoteric ebb does not and in fact in some ways it may even reach higher heights that its beloved inspiration. I don't want to spoil too much of the game as just like DE experiencing it for yourself is so important. but i must say, in a world that feels increasingly uncaring, we are surrounded by atrocities and hardship to such a point most of us are desensitised. it's so refreshing to have experiences like Disco Elysium and Esoteric Ebb to remind you that caring is important. Giving a crap about the world and the people in it that you share it with will never be pointless. Every vote for azgal may not win us the election but it does bring us closer to a brighter future!
