Escape Memoirs: Safe House offers a refreshing variation on the escape-room genre by challenging players to infiltrate a heavily secured hideout instead of finding a way out of one. Developed and published by 0 Deer Soft, the game places players in the role of members of a criminal organization whose trusted key holder has suddenly vanished. With access to the safe house no longer possible through conventional means, the team must rely on intelligence, observation, and persistence to uncover hidden entry points and recover valuable secrets. This reverse escape-room concept immediately sets the adventure apart, providing an engaging premise that feels both familiar and creatively different. The heart of the experience lies in its intricate puzzle design. Every room is packed with clues, coded messages, concealed mechanisms, and interactive objects that demand careful attention. Rather than overwhelming players with arbitrary riddles, the puzzles are logically interconnected, rewarding those who methodically examine their surroundings and piece together scattered information. Solving each challenge opens access to new sections of the house, creating a satisfying sense of progression that encourages exploration and critical thinking. The difficulty steadily increases throughout the game, making every breakthrough feel well-earned without becoming unfairly frustrating. The safe house itself serves as more than just a backdrop. Its realistic interior, detailed furnishings, and cleverly hidden compartments transform every room into a puzzle waiting to be unraveled. Players are constantly encouraged to inspect ordinary objects that may conceal important clues or reveal entirely new interactions. Hidden collectibles provide additional motivation to thoroughly search every corner, adding an extra layer of completion for those who enjoy uncovering every secret the environment has to offer. The overall presentation emphasizes immersion, allowing players to feel like genuine infiltrators carefully dismantling an elaborate security system. Cooperative multiplayer is one of the game's strongest features. Supporting up to five online players, Escape Memoirs: Safe House recreates the teamwork and communication that make real-life escape rooms so enjoyable. Friends can split up to investigate different areas, share discoveries, and combine clues that would be difficult to solve alone. The collaborative nature of the puzzles naturally encourages discussion and coordination, often leading to memorable moments when seemingly unrelated clues suddenly fit together. Solo players are equally accommodated, although tackling every puzzle independently creates a slower, more deliberate experience that highlights the game's thoughtful design. Visually, the game favors a grounded and believable style over flashy effects. The environments are detailed enough to support exploration without distracting players from the puzzles themselves. Lighting, furniture placement, and decorative elements all contribute to the illusion of searching through a genuine criminal hideout filled with carefully protected secrets. Complementing the visuals is a restrained audio presentation that relies on subtle ambient sounds to maintain atmosphere while allowing players to stay focused on solving each challenge. This understated approach keeps the emphasis squarely on investigation and discovery. Replayability comes primarily from sharing the experience with different groups of players and searching for every collectible hidden throughout the safe house. While the solutions remain fixed once discovered, the cooperative experience often changes depending on how teammates divide tasks and interpret clues. Achievement hunting and optional exploration also provide additional reasons to revisit the game after the first completion, particularly for players who enjoy fully mastering escape-room experiences. Escape Memoirs: Safe House successfully builds upon the strengths of its predecessors while introducing a fresh perspective through its reverse escape-room premise. Its carefully designed puzzles, immersive environments, satisfying cooperative gameplay, and rewarding exploration combine to create an experience that consistently respects the player's intelligence. Although those looking for action-heavy gameplay or a narrative-driven adventure may find its focus narrow, puzzle enthusiasts and fans of cooperative escape rooms will discover a polished and engaging challenge that remains entertaining from beginning to end. Defenestracja muzgu, polecam. Ta gra mi powiedziała niewerbalnie, na milion sposobów, że jestem wystarczająco głupi.
Great game, some really good puzzles but I wish they would give you instructions or even objectives, it can take a very long time to figure out what you are meant to do.
7.5/10 A few very frustrating puzzles in this one (the sliding puzzles), but overall another great addition to the Escape Memoirs saga.
