Worth it´s money, Difficulty: 8/10 Playtime: 7 Hours Design: 8/10 Mechanics: 7/10 I recommend this game, because it has no found bugs, decent amout of content for an Escape Game.
Escape Memoirs: Mansion Heist by 0 Deer Soft takes the familiar escape room formula and reshapes it into something more playful by putting players in the role of intruders rather than captives. Instead of trying to break out, you are working your way deeper into a lavishly guarded mansion, solving puzzles to bypass security and uncover hidden secrets. This reversal of perspective gives the experience a slightly more adventurous tone, shifting the focus from urgency to cleverness as you methodically dismantle the mansion’s defenses. The game’s core strength lies in its puzzle design, which consistently emphasizes logic, observation, and pattern recognition. Each room introduces a set of challenges that feel interconnected with the environment, encouraging players to study their surroundings rather than rely on random experimentation. Many puzzles build on simple ideas but layer them in ways that require careful thought, making the process of solving them feel rewarding. While most of the challenges are fair and intuitive, there are moments where the difficulty spikes unexpectedly, and a few solutions may feel less immediately readable, particularly for players who are not deeply familiar with escape room conventions. The mansion itself serves as both the setting and the primary puzzle space, and it is crafted with a strong sense of cohesion. Rooms are filled with objects that blur the line between decoration and functionality, prompting players to question what is important and what is merely background detail. This design keeps the player engaged, as even small discoveries can lead to meaningful progress. The visual presentation is not overly complex, but it is clean and purposeful, ensuring that key elements stand out without overwhelming the player with unnecessary detail. Cooperative multiplayer is a major component of the experience, allowing up to five players to work together. This is where the game often feels most enjoyable, as sharing ideas and collaborating on solutions adds a social layer that enhances the puzzle-solving process. Communication becomes essential, and moments of breakthrough feel more satisfying when achieved as a group. However, the structure of some puzzles can limit how much each player is actively involved at any given time. Because certain tasks must be completed in sequence, larger groups may occasionally find themselves waiting for others to finish a step before they can contribute, which slightly reduces the sense of constant engagement. The progression through the mansion is largely linear, guiding players from one section to the next in a controlled manner. This helps maintain a steady pace and prevents confusion, but it also means there is less freedom to approach objectives in different ways. The experience is carefully curated, which works well for maintaining clarity but can make the game feel somewhat constrained compared to more open-ended puzzle titles. Still, this approach ensures that players are rarely stuck without direction for long, making it accessible while still offering a decent level of challenge. Technically, the game performs reliably, with straightforward controls and interactions that are easy to understand. While there are occasional minor issues, they rarely detract significantly from the overall experience. The emphasis remains firmly on puzzle-solving rather than presentation, and in that regard, the game succeeds in delivering a smooth and focused experience. What ultimately makes Escape Memoirs: Mansion Heist stand out is how well it captures the essence of a real-world escape room in a digital format while adding its own thematic twist. It does not attempt to be overly ambitious or complex beyond its core idea, instead refining what it sets out to do. The combination of logical puzzles, cooperative play, and a consistent setting creates an experience that feels cohesive and satisfying from start to finish. In the end, Escape Memoirs: Mansion Heist offers a polished and enjoyable puzzle experience, particularly for those who enjoy working through challenges with others. While it may not push the genre forward in dramatic ways, it delivers a well-crafted and engaging journey that makes good use of its concept. Rating: 8/10
