About
In this dying age, only pockets of humanity remain. There was no apocalyptic event to speak of; only the cruel march of time and the inexplicable infertility of the world. Accursed creatures stalk the barren lands between settlements, which are themselves terrible places; squalid, medieval and mostly ruled by tyrants.
Our story begins in the town of Draenog, where the theatre performance you are putting on is interrupted by fighting at the gates. Demons have arrived. Your wooden sword will have to do for now, gather the troupe and defend yourselves!
Entropy is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game with an expansive world map, explorable towns filled with colorful characters, and a tactical turn-based battle system.
Embark on a quest across the lands to stop the demonic incursion.
Control your party of up to 6 characters.
Hire Mercenaries to replace your fallen party members.
Tactical Turn-Based Combat.
Explore a world full of unique characters, creatures, challenges, and treasure.
Level up your characters, increase your stats, and unlock new perks.
A beautiful retro 3D aesthetic.

A really great game in the old ways, played only in easy mode to understand the mechanics, but even in the easy mode the game shows some difficulty, in the bosses and with the low rate of drops. The screen causes a bit of an eye disconfort even with the mechanic to smooth things disabled.
For the time being, Early Access covers Act 1 and I must say I do enjoy what I see. Combat is very fun though it seems to be missing some sounds and "weight" to it like firearms not making any noise. And the story is very interesting and obviously has a lot of thought going into it and likely the main appeal for many players in addition to the art style is charming and I dig the ugly mix of fantasy and body horror it somewhat has going on and you can fiddle with the options as well. I do have some issues and that's down to general game design (I presume this will change after Act 1) but there's a lack of stuff to interact with in the open world and could do with more side quests (maybe bounties too at the board where you get merc?) to give you reason to explore since otherwise it's just walking from set piece to set piece. Which also plays into the grind for gold which is pretty rough as battles only give you five gold at best and even boss battles give you 20 gold due to upkeep eating away your money. As mercs are pretty pricey while starting under level so they can get one-shot and I wish you could re-roll since you'll need another frontliner and then only get mages. But then a merc who's good with a sword and missing an arm is about the same price as a mage who has all their limbs, is a bit strange. Despite that, I think it's pretty interesting and I look forward to the finish product as I had plenty fun so far and do recommend it if you like more harsh turn-based rpgs.

Really promising early access, the style of battle feels really smooth, and the amount of exploration and story packed into the first act is really impressive. Very excited for the rest to be released, and would 100% recommend to anyone who likes RPGs with in depth world building.
This game is very good for what it is so far, a completely unfinished game. Do not buy this if you do not intend to join in community discussions and/or only have access to a very limited experience so far. Will change when game is updated.
So far so good, almost 2 hours in and I want to keep playing. Its been a while since I've seen a world map and I can't wait to see whats there to explore.
What's here is a lot of fun, definitely looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Very strange and engaging world, combat is fun and theres lots to explore. I was quite surprised how well balanced all of my options were, everything seemed not just viable but like a good idea.
Entropy was incredibly fun for all of what is currently in the game (as of writing Act 1 is out and ive fully completed the main questline of it), btw it says 42 minutes of playtime as I did it mostly offline, I would guess it took roughly 3 hours to beat Act 1 but I played the demo and kind of rushed through that section. I played on hard difficulty since it said its the reccomended one Pros: · The mechanic where party members can be wounded or die permanently if they die in battle made me think harder with my strategy · The atmosphere is absolutely AMAZING, the vibe of all the areas kept me on edge for a majority of my playthrough, especially thanks to the music which consisted of unsettling music except for a few songs e.g the main town theme and the Act 1 Final Boss music which absolutely slapped · The Target and positioning mechanics let the game have much more strategy outside of just blindly attacking · The portrait art for characters are really well drawn and the enemy design can be creepy at time Cons: · The Target mechanic, while a good addition, can trivialise most fights if you blind an enemy as it makes them unlikely to land any attacks · A few bugs, i believe if you try input anything too fast after exiting a menu the game has a chance of freezing (this happened most commonly when pressing Esc to leave the level up menu and trying to open the inventory after picking up a piece of equipment) · You can walk up the vine wall things in the final dungeon of Act 1 and clip out of bounds (not that much of a problem since there is an unstuck button) · The final boss of act 1 was tedious to fight, phase 1 when you got them low they would always use an item to heal roughly half their health, it got to the point I had blinded them, dismembered both their arms and one leg and they still didn't die as they kept healing. Phase 2 the hit chance was absurdly low (~40% without Terror applied, ~55% with Terror) which dragged out the fight more · The healing Clot shaper spell made it really hard for any party members to die Overall the game was still fun, most of the Cons are just small nitpicks that probably only affected me and don't really matter that badly P.S Selgair is the goat that man carried me so hard
GOOD
If you're the type of player to dread random battles... Then don't sweat it. There's a healthy amount and combat that keeps you engaged! The writing is charming, the cast is delightful, and I'll always appreciate the way the world feels so finely crafted and fascinating. The type of game I'd gladly read every in-game book to get just a crumb more! Having beaten act I, I do kind of hope some things will be touched upon. Some models feel as if they could be re-worked a bit more to feel more like their art or feel finished (i.e. the mechsuit guards). Or how some small locations feel like they aren't quite as polished (i.e. the troupe meeting room)... But at the same time, it's the kind of unpolishedness that somehow adds to the charm all the same. I found myself wanting so much more at the end of act. I... So much so I needed to go play Dread Delusion just to cope!
