Enter the Gungeon is peak roguelike genre. Some will argue for The Binding of Issac or Nuclear Throne as better games but Enter the Gungeon always deserves to be in the conversation. A great games is not hard to come by on the steam store: there are plenty to choose from. If you want a whimsical top town action roguelike than Enter the Gungeon is a must play at some point. I put 50 hours in on the Ps4 trying to get good. This game is so arcardey that is feels like I put a quarter in a gaming machine each run. IN under an hour we will have an answer. Did you have what is takes to win? This was my daily game for about 2 months. One run daily, win or much much more likely, lose again. If you enjoy the whimsical style here I urge you to give Atomicrops a chance as well. it has a lot of the shooting joy but adds massive amounts of busy work. 9.5/10 for me. I own it on ps4. I played this game so much there. I own it on Epic but my saves are gone there. I went ahead and got a steam copy on sale and only wish they had a sequel.

Sets the standard. Just terrific through and through. Too addictive for its own good and filled to the brim with charm. I first played it five years ago and recently came back to it. Can't wait for Enter the Gungeon 2.

Like any good roguelite, EtG's gameplay consists of ever expanding attachments for the player's proverbial Picotinny rail, be it items, guns and/or bullets we find along the way. The ammo that gun based puns are like the writers kept the selector on "all" throughout the entire range we find ourselves in. While not as hard of a bullet hell as some others I witnessed, it will still require you to zero in on precision if you wish to beat it.
