Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Not perfect, but I enjoyed it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I am reviewing this game after quite a while since, I stopped playing it. The gameplay was really nice, but the story was a mess. When i started this game, I really felt like a little kid, the premise and intro was so good. But when i got to end of intro then, i was so confused what happened and why. Later i understood why it was but it could have been done a lot better. Only reason that i am not replaying this game is because, I have done everything in it. I had several playthroughs and even the one where you begin as a "demigod" (little bit cheating), so I could try, murder, steal, break into everything. Overall if someone asks should they play this game or would they enjoy it then I will say YES.

**1. Long Play Review: Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG** **Intro:** Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG, developed by Dark Crystal Games and published by Prime Matter, throws players into a retro-futuristic, post-apocalyptic world under the Dome. Playing as a member of the CRONUS Corporation, you investigate strange anomalies and unravel the mysteries surrounding the Dome's creation and its current state. Prepare for tough choices, challenging combat, and a deep, branching narrative. ☢️ **Gameplay:** Encased offers a classic isometric RPG experience with turn-based combat. Character creation is robust, allowing you to customize your skills, attributes, and background, which all influence how you interact with the world and solve quests. The combat is tactical and unforgiving, demanding careful planning and utilization of your party's abilities. Exploration is crucial, as the Dome is filled with secrets, resources, and dangerous encounters. The game emphasizes player choice, with many quests offering multiple solutions and consequences that ripple throughout the narrative. ⚙️ **Story & World:** Encased's world is a unique blend of retro-futuristic technology and post-apocalyptic desolation. The Dome itself is a fascinating setting, with its own history, factions, and dangers. The narrative is well-written and engaging, with memorable characters and thought-provoking themes. The game's story unfolds through exploration, dialogue, and environmental storytelling, creating a rich and immersive experience. 📜 **Graphics & Sound:** Encased's visuals are stylized and evocative of classic isometric RPGs. While not cutting-edge, they effectively convey the atmosphere of the Dome. The soundtrack is atmospheric and complements the game's tone. 🎶 **Pros:** * Deep and branching narrative with impactful choices 🤔 * Unique retro-futuristic, post-apocalyptic setting ☢️ * Challenging and tactical turn-based combat 💪 * Robust character creation and customization ⚙️ * Engaging exploration and environmental storytelling 🗺️ **Cons:** * Can be quite challenging, especially early on 💀 * Some technical issues and bugs 🐞 * Graphics may not appeal to everyone 😬 * Pace can be slow at times 🐢 **Overall:** Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG is a solid and engaging RPG that will appeal to fans of classic isometric titles. Its deep narrative, challenging combat, and unique setting make it a worthwhile experience for those who appreciate a good story-driven RPG. While it has some technical issues and can be quite difficult, the overall experience is rewarding for those who persevere. 8/10 👍 **Disclaimer:** This review was written with the assistance of AI. **2. Short Play Review: Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG** Encased: Retro-futuristic RPG! ☢️ Deep story, tough combat, impactful choices. Best: World, narrative. Worst: Bugs, difficulty. 8/10 ✨

A great turn based game with deep story, that snaps to grid and turns only when going into combat. The rest of free time flows really well. There's so much content, that all the unique endings make up 1 hour video with the in game narration speed. Do recommend!
Just wasn't that fun.
My playthrough was a rollercoaster of love and hate. The first 15 hours felt like a slog, and I regretted every second of it. However, after crossing a certain threshold, the experience became more bearable—and honestly, even somewhat addicting. I can see the immense effort that went into creating this game, but it’s also evident that something went awry during the development process. There are numerous systems that slow down the gameplay without adding meaningful value. That said, if we evaluate it purely in terms of CRPG elements, the game fits the genre well. It’s firmly rooted in the tradition of classic CRPGs, particularly the Fallout series. It offers diverse solutions for different roleplaying approaches, multiple factions with varying ideologies, and consequently, a range of different outcomes in the finale. One major gripe I have is with the writing. It fails to spark interest, with most dialogues limited to a maximum of three sentences. This brevity feels illogical, especially for a protagonist grappling with a crisis of such magnitude. The story itself is familiar, essentially a reinterpretation of the Strugatsky brothers' famous novel Roadside Picnic. We’ve seen similar narratives in recent years, such as Annihilation or Stalker (both the game and the movie). All in all, I would still recommend this game to CRPG fans—at least for one playthrough.
I like this CRPG and I had a lot of fun while playing it. It's not really a Fallout clone but it shares a lot of similarities but it still has it's own identity.
