Confusing, instructions are some wiki wall of text thing, other than very very basic instructions nothing is explained. The art feels misplaced like it doesn't belong, a big mishmash of random artwork put together, my guess would be AI generated, or stolen. If this game is to continue i would highly recommend to the developer to add a quick natural flowing tutorial at the start of the game "Click this button to check this out", "next, Press the emote button to do thing", "Next turn off phone to bring out demon", "Combat works this way": "Now enjoy the game". Nothing fancy just simple and a hell of a lot better than a wiki app
Warning: AI SlopThis game is partially or completely made with talentless, banal AI generated content.
"Emotions: Social MeDie" is a godawfully badly made card game where the developer decided to insult everyone by dumping AI slop onto Steam... this game has no redeeming features at all. It's not even a complete game, it's just a crappy, badly made advertisement for another game called "Project Emotions" that doesn't even exist. Come on guys, what value is there for gamers in an advertisement for a product we can't even buy (and nobody would ever want to?) As mentioned, this features really godawful, "wrong" looking AI slop instead of genuinely and sincerely created game assets. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating real game assets or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision. In fact this is even worse than your average godawful AI slop... it looks like the guy grabbed the first thing that Dall-E crapped out and decided to use that. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. On pricing, this is "free" enough (because it's an advertisement), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed this advertisement peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that advertisements don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off. If you like ads, you can watch them on Youtube. If you like AI slop, the internet is already full of it, we don't need more.

2/10 A TBS/social media simulator game. Good: - a laudable attempt to handle the topic of how young people get addicted to worthless quasi-communication on social media apps and get emotional troubles from that - nice-looking AI-generated artwork - music is fine So-so: - there is a unique combat system against "inner demons". However, it's poorly explained and seems to be bugged (e.g. it says that the demon is vulnerable to a certain card, but when I use the card no damage is dealt) - I guess the dev is Italian. English is shaky in some places, making understanding of the already convoluted rules even more difficult Bad: - onboarding is just atrocious, as other reviewers mentioned. There is basically a wall of text which you have to fully read before you can try anything. Instead a game with such an unusual system would need a "click here, click there" tutorial that would introduce you to the game and lead through the first few fights - almost no sfx - "turning off" the phone to fight demons requires you to click on the tiny vertical "physical" button on the right side of the phone. Interactive elements should have highlights. I don't know how I even guessed to click there. Btw the physical buttons on the left side of the phone do nothing(?) - poor UI design, huge fonts (e.g. in the end game screen) - I'm not sure if the emotion "opposites" are legit. I mean, is disgust the opposite of excitement? I did learn psychology and was married to a psychologist, but I don't remember it to be so. There are basic emotions yes but they seem to be handled incorrectly here. Though it's hard to tell given how messy the app is As it is, the game is generally unplayable. It simply lacks a proper introduction into its mechanics before one can even say if there are any major bugs in it or not. Can't even give any meaningful feedback on it.
