Interesting game slowly putting things together it takes time to build. It has challenging parts. Think about movement think about your attacks. A slight learning curve. But play it slow and smart and can be successful.
I played about 2 hours. The game is fine, I don't think the mechanics are bad, but it is extremely cookie cutter. There are a handful of worldbuilding nuggets that are nice. The overall companions are very lackluster. The first companion is interesting because he is very nebbish and lacks self confidence, but the story barely helps him develop as a character at all. It's mostly just a story about you, the Lightbringer. If it's on sale, it's a fine romp. I got it on Humble Bundle. But otherwise it's not worth the $10 price tag
**1. Long Play Review: Ember** **Intro:** Ember, developed by N-Fusion Interactive, is a classic-style RPG inspired by games like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale. It offers an isometric perspective, real-time combat with pause, and a focus on story and character development. Players embark on a quest to uncover the secrets of the Ember, a powerful artifact, and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. 🔥 **Gameplay:** Ember's gameplay is rooted in classic RPG mechanics. Players control a party of up to four characters, each with their own unique skills and abilities. The combat system is real-time with pause, allowing players to issue commands and strategize during battles. The game features a wide range of character classes, spells, and equipment to customize your party. Exploration is a key element, as the world is filled with hidden areas, secrets, and side quests to discover. 🗺️ **Story & World:** Ember's story is a classic fantasy tale of good versus evil. While the plot itself isn't particularly groundbreaking, the writing is generally solid, and the characters are well-developed. The world of Ember is richly detailed, with a variety of environments to explore, from lush forests to dark dungeons. The lore is interesting, and the game does a good job of immersing players in its world. 📜 **Graphics & Sound:** Ember's visuals are charming and evocative of classic RPGs. While they aren't cutting-edge, they are well-drawn and create a pleasant atmosphere. The soundtrack is also well-done, with music that complements the game's fantasy setting. 🎶 **Pros:** * Classic RPG gameplay reminiscent of Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale ⚔️ * Engaging story and well-developed characters 🤔 * Richly detailed world with plenty to explore 🗺️ * Wide range of character classes and customization options 💪 * Charming visuals and evocative soundtrack 🎶 **Cons:** * Combat can feel a bit clunky at times 😬 * Some repetitive quests 🥱 * Can be a bit challenging, especially for newcomers to the genre 💀 * Story is somewhat predictable 📖 **Overall:** Ember is a solid and enjoyable RPG that will appeal to fans of classic role-playing games. While it doesn't do anything particularly innovative, it executes its classic formula well. If you're looking for a nostalgic trip back to the golden age of RPGs, Ember is definitely worth checking out. 7.5/10 👍 **Disclaimer:** This review was written with the assistance of AI. **2. Short Play Review: Ember** Ember: Classic RPG! 🔥 Isometric, real-time combat, deep story. Best: Nostalgia, world. Worst: Clunky combat, predictable story. 7.5/10 ✨
The game is meh. Its not a terrible game but its not an exciting game either. If you want to shake things up a bit and play something different then sure. I mean yes play RPGs ect but this just is barebones. But for a 9.99 price tag its not bad. I play for a bit then stop. Again the game isn't bad but its not amazing either.
It is simple fun
absolutely awesome.
Classic RPG, good plot worth price even if it's might seems short
Linear ios port. Repetitive and very shallow in every aspect.
