Save game only saves the characters not locations. Every time you come back to the game you have to start from the beginning. Even the teleports are not saved if longer than the refresh period. Essentially if you do not finish the game at one setting, you will be starting over next time, just with stronger characters. DONT BUY THIS GAME.
1/10 One of the worst games I've had the misfortune of playing in a long time. This is barely a beta, not a full release. No amount of work will improve this to the point of being playable. Even if this were a student project or something, I wouldn't accept this level of overall quality. Pros: - Good music - Solid class options - Visually decent and runs smooth Cons: - Camera constantly drifts up to the right no matter what I do - No matter what I do, 1-2 of my characters simply refuse to cast magic even though they have a spell equipped (I think this might be due to a delay in casting spells - my #2 and often #4 characters never cast, probably because 1 & 3 had cast something. If so, this is a terrible design decision for a real time game) - Real time combat simply doesn't work very well here. It's too fast, especially considering you'll likely have at least one caster with multiple spells. Many enemies have a tiny hitbox on top of that, making ranged/magic difficult to use - Some actions you'd expect to have sound effects have none, and the sound effects in combat aren't timed correctly so there's a noticeable delay - No text/UI scaling and there's *tons* of room for it at my resolution. Steam launch options don't work to change resolution. Most of the text is a bit difficult to read - Almost no options available in "Options" - No information about what skills classes get - Hideous character portraits (you can apparently add your own relatively easily, but that's more work than I want to put in for a game like this) - Atrocious writing and dialogue. It's obvious someone who isn't familiar with English wrote everything
This game is an extremely excellent old-school RPG with well-thought-out puzzles, open-ended exploration and exciting combat. Playing it reawakens those same feelings of excitement I had back when I got into early dungeon crawler RPGs for the first time.
I've tried to like this game, but there are too many problems, specifically related to: 1) pathing/tracking will cause you to either not target an enemy or fall through the world and get stuck, 2) quests becoming available but unable to accept them, 3) Inventory when full will drop an item when attempting swap with another character, 4) floor maps are not consistent and changed depending on conversations with NPCs, 5) achievements not counted when criteria met. 6) Character classes, other than spells and preferred attribute, are pretty much similar. You can equip and level the attributes to be a Knight with spells are healing abilities. 7) Unable to navigate back to main menu to reload previous save. 7) etc, etc., etc. I applaud with developer for making the effort to create a game, but it has too many problems to be sellable. Until the issues and game are polished to a better standard I wouldn't spend money on it (if I could do it over).
This is a small scale student project. Do not expect this to be a "professional" RPG. In its current state it is playable, but very raw. I do not see much potential here, as all game mechanics are toned down to a minimum to keep the development effort low. Character development is flat and linear and the level design is executed badly. Will request a refund now.
Interesting idea (still full fast realtime looks strange in M&M 6 canvas) but the game is very raw. Hope it will be finished soon or later. Cant recommend it for now. Found bugs/issues: - all the classes can wear all the items - its very strange for an RPG - the healer in the village is free in fact - the map in the village sometimes show black screen or only one door on black screen; also u must press escape and then click X (when it renders) to close it and then press escape again to close menu - too many false clickable objects, not only usable ones; also it will be great if u could move objects not only by pushing them but in TES way... - no sound of getting damage (or maybe its very quiet) so ull die fast before noticing it - mobs often stand still after dying (skeletons) or move their legs (spiders etc) - is there any real effect of being ensnared for example? - there is a dungeon in the village where u die so fast so many times so it seems strange after the rest, very easy dungeons - the game didnt want to load after i pressed "save and exit" in that dungeon by a mistake, it loaded only after my pc rebooted - skeleton king (or whoever he is) heals himself but its not obvious how; u just need to punch him many times and each time he heals lesser hp; at least there should be an animation of his healing, not just like he instantly teleports from you and then is healed... - u cant actually climb on "ladder (1)" (bugged?) in the library, just need to jump over the candelabra and other things then. "ladder (2)" is less bugged but u still need to jump over some things and only then to climb - the most hated bug - when u give an item to a hero which inventory is full, the item just disappears! at least i couldnt find where it is after that :( There were some more lesser bugs but i dont remember them for now)
I wish I could say yes to this game, but lack of response from developer is troubling. I have a very important item missing and cannot go any farther then the first two areas. The temple can only be entered when you get three quests finished so the king will give you the key. I can only finish two and developer has not responded to any of my issues. What little I can play is fun this is why I am so disappointed that I cant get any response, I am not sure if this game has been abandoned. If something changes I will update my review but for now I cannot recommend this game to anyone.
Sorry... I did not play long enough to say whether the game is actually good or not. The issue is simple. SILENCE!!! Except for music playing, the game is virtually silent? What the heck! No footstep sounds! No ambient sounds of any kind! You're traveling through a dungeon and there's no sounds at all. You re merely "gliding" along. This could actually be a very good game but come on developer. Immersion is important in gaming and this game has NONE!!! Sorry...
Horrible game, don't waste your money
