Cute Match 3 game I bought for $0.49 Have played 13 levels so far- graphics are sweet pretty, the game has an increasing level of difficulty (timed and / or limited number of moves allowed.) Inoffensive music that can be turned off and no bugs. In game achievements only. Definitely worth the sale buy. :) Also ...matches kept happening even after finishing a round, so I think this game played itself a lot more than I played it. xD

Elly's Cake Cafe is a basic mobile-app like Match-3 game. More or less an asset flip, the "developer", a known asset flipper and intellectual property abuser has gotten someone's Unity Match-3 template, reskinned it, and is trying to scam PC gamers into buying what's more or less just a really week Candy Crush ripoff. The icing on the cake is the "developer" here has copy + pasted + reskinned this same asset onto Steam quite a few times. While Creobit usually asset flip the same games onto Steam dozens of times, this one has only been asset flipped three times. Here's the other copy + pastes of this asset: [list] [*] Gem Legends [*] Gems of the Aztecs [/list] [i]These are reskins of exactly the same game![/i] What value is there in this spam/pollution glutting the Steam store for gamers? From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but it doesn't seem to have made it to the app stores. It's unclear why this was put on Steam instead of the app stores it seems to have been designed for. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Elly's Cake Cafe has the farcical price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

This game is BROKEN! You reach a certain point, and you stop earning power-ups. Once your power-ups run out, the game cannot be completed. Many levels require power-ups to finish. No response on the forums.

Вариация на тему "3 в ряд". Кроме собственно "3 в ряд", добавлены уже привычные по другим играм особенности: 1. Ограничение количества ходов 2. Нужно выбить определённое количество фишек. 3. Нужно "создавать" новые фишки. 4. Нужно разблокировать некоторые фишки, собирая 3 и более одинаковых фишек рядом с фишкой, которую нужно разблокировать или использовать для создания новых фишек. 5. Что-то там ещё. Достоинства: 1. Приятная графика 2. Приятная музыка 3. Дружественный интерфейс 4. В отличие от недавно купленной мной за ту же цену очень похожую по механике 3-в-ряд, здесь работает навигация и завершать работу не нужно по ALT-F4. Учитывая количество мусора в Стиме, подобный функционал уже становится редкостью ;-) 5. Автоперемешивание фишек, если ходы закончились. Недостатки: 1. Постепенно игра всё больше навязывает собственные механики группировки фишек и даёт задания, которые нельзя выполнить классическим сопоставлением фигур, из-за чего бывает весьма сложно перейти на следующий уровень, не используя перемещения, лопатки и подносы. 2. На уровнях в районе 64,65 и 84 игрок может начать ненавидеть енотов ;-) Итог: если вам нравятся игры "3-в-ряд" с дополнительными ограничениями, стилизованные под обслуживание клиентов в кондитерской, то эту игру можно покупать как на распродаже, так и за полную цену. Авторы хорошо поработали. Но если вы любите классический "3-в-ряд", то лучше купить Bejeweled 3, в котором есть как классика, так и модификации.
