Eggcelerate! to the Tropics

This is a pretty cozy, fun, and challenging racing game. I'd recommend it. * It is very easy to pick up and understand, yet mastering the mechanics of balancing the egg is difficult. * Despite the difficulty, I don't find it frustrating. Most of the levels are relatively short (typically 20-60 seconds) and you can instantly reset, which helps keep it fun. * It's the kind of game I enjoy playing when I want to wind down after work or I only have a short time to play. It's fun, doesn't require large time investments, and I never leave it feeling angry, frustrated, disappointed. * I find it highly replayable, even after you beat all the levels. I enjoy racing against my ghost to beat my best times. For the cost of the game, I find the value to be very high.

Eggcelerate! to the Tropics intrigued me from the first moment I saw the trailer. Who wouldn't want to make sure every single egg finds it's way across the finish while laying oh so comfy in the basket of your motorbike. Sounds simple enough, but the challenge ramps up really quickly! This game is certainly "Easy to learn, difficult to master". Don't let that dissuade you from giving it a try. It's perfect fun as a get-together game among friends for a party. See who can beat the top score on each round. The track design is quite clever & fun. Several paths can lead you toward hidden locations, some might lead you to nowhere. Acquiring Sea Turtles laid about each level is a nice little side challenge. Each track has it's own brand of shenanigans that will keep you from achieving your race to the finish. To progress to the next level, you must complete the round besting the Goal time. For the players that want more challenge, may I present the leaderboard! You will be able to test your mettle and see if you can do better than the Devs & those speed demons who dominate the board. There's a little bit of everything here, whether you be a casual gamer or a bonafide speed racer looking for the next big challenge Did I mention the EGGcellent puns thrown about? Water you doing?? You better be picking up this game right now so we can duke it out for fastest lap times! This was also my introduction to the Eggcelerate! series & I am looking forward to trying out the previous entries soon! Recommended!

You will break many, many eggs. Fun game with amusing sound effects, the difficulty does ramp up quite a bit when you get to the later levels. BUT - it's a quick reset when you fail/want to restart, so it doesn't get annoying (imo).

Großartiges Spiel! Die ersten Teile haben mir schon sehr gut gefallen. Dieser Teil ist nochmal besser! Das Hinzufügen der Bikes/Motorräder macht das Spiel noch einmal besser. Die Steuerung fühlt sich genauer an. Außerdem gibt es Collectibles und kleine fiese Streiche. Die Herausforderung die Goal Time oder die Dev Time zu knacken, sowie die Leaderboards zu toppen. Garantiert einen langen Spielspaß, auch nachdem man jedes Level geknackt hat. Ich freue mich auf die Fortsetzung der Serie und auch gerne einen Multiplayer.

[b]Cute game, super hard![/b] Tropics is the third game in the Eggcelerate series and it definitely shows how much the developer has grown since the initial release. The low-poly graphics are not only cute, but work well with the bright color palette being used. The difficultly ramps up, significantly, in Tropics, but the difficulty pairs well with the new physics driving the motorbike (compared to previous games where you drove a car). The speedrunning and time-trial communities are alive and well for this game. Players are constantly posting screenshots on the developer's discord to show off their times where they were able to shave off milliseconds of time. This game is fun, hard, and has a bunch of replayability, especially if you're into time-trial games with global leaderboards. It's also approachable enough for my 8-year old in earlier levels, but she'll have to get used to the additional difficulty in the later levels. It's also been a treat watching this game being developed completely on-stream. [b]Works fine on macOS 13 (Ventura)![/b] I'm not sure why there's a warning, but the game runs perfectly at a 4K resolution at 60FPS.

Don't be fooled by the colorful visuals and the joyful music, that game is HARD! If you like to tryhard games and push your limits to climb the leaderboards, that game IS FOR YOU! You'll learn to master the controls and physics of the game to find the perfect line and maybe be the TOP #1 egg! Highly recommanded for good gamers with nerves of steel!

Eggcelerate to the Tropics is a fun and addictive racing game with interesting graphics and challenging levels. The concept of racing eggs across tropical islands is unique and entertaining. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great racing game.

Fun and Technical Game lol

Eggcelerate! to the Tropics adds a new twist to the series, replacing cars with motorcycles/bikes. This makes some portions of the game easier, and others more difficult. Keeping the egg in the bowl while turning is a bit easier, but the bike tipping mechanic makes driving slowly much more difficult (you fall over if you drive too slow). I've always liked to describe Eggcelerate! as the "Dark Souls" (or maybe "Getting Over It") of time-trial racing games because of its difficulty. Tropics adds some narrow trails making for precision racing - now it is also the "Celeste" of time-trial racing games. I'd say I'm still terrible at it, but it is addictive. Just like the previous entries in the series, I find myself saying "one more time" over and over again. Track 15 is the best track.
